NOOOOOO YOU MUST READ THE GREEK FIRST

It's your own fault for not reading the greeks by now. You're about 22 now, right?
I can't take anyone who hasn't read Iliad seriously
>I can't take anyone who hasn't read Iliad seriously

Leave and never return
>reading the Iliad
>not memorising all the meter, epithets, turns of phrase, and plot beats and becoming a wandering bard
You call yourself cultured?

What's with these memes posted whenever someone can't come up with a argument? Why bother posting this at all?How little does one's own time have to be worth to themselves, in order for them to spend their time replying with these, when they don't even have anything to say?

Not OP, but I think I need to backtrack and get through some more fundamental Greek texts. I've read the basics: Iliad, oddyssey, a collection of the Dialogues, Aristotle's Poetics, a few tragedies. But, I'm thinking about taking a sabatical from my sporadic lit tastes, and focusing on Bronze Age, Greek shit, then Rome. Then, maybe take it from there.
Basically
Now this is a splendid basedack
