Steroids are only bad if they're abused. They can be used safely and properly where the bad side effects can be avoided. Especially as you get older, they should almost be encouraged. They get prescribed for a reason. Think of it as a medicine, it's to balance out testoterone levels when you have an imbalance. It can cure depression, cure erectile dysfunction, boost energy, boost sex drive, boost confidence, boost strength, and boost aesthetics.
Like any drug, it's just important to use it safely and responsibly.

Lifting is pretty easy friends. You can also just go 3x a week for about 1-1.5hr. Eating clean is much harder but I also think it's extremely beneficial.
Also if you really dislike gyms, you could just try calisthenics. I don't think it will take you as far as weights (or if it does it's much more work I believe).

All the reasons you listed are related to vanity. If you have depression and think taking exogenous hormones is going to make you feel better, you're the same as a junkie saying that his liquor or heroin is doing him more good than evil. Steroids mess with your DNA. They are addictive. They lead to many health problems (why else would you have to routinely do blood work?) They mess with your well-being and mood (things that mess with your intuition are immoral.) They are risky and need extreme caution to use (Sound healthy to you?) They promote laziness (people on steroids get leaner and bigger without exercise.) They fool naturals into thinking you're doing something magical and your knowledge will confound them and trick them.
