The sole argument that exists in favour of bullying is that it’s a hazing ritual for instilling socially acceptable behaviours. In my case, being bullied certainly helped me do some self-reflection and get rid of my cringier behaviours. I understand that it can mentally scar some people for life though.

Only those who are inherently weak either due to their genetics or environment, nothing personal but it should hopefully prevent them from reproducing and continuing on the cycle of suffering which comes with being a weak man (those who don't benefit from adversity or grow stronger/more resilient because of it)

I dunno. I've been bullied in school, assaulted and mugged in my adult life, and it didn't build character or toughen me up. I'm the same as I was before, and I would've preferred to not be bullied or beaten up and I don't really see it as a character building exercise.

I was on both sides of bullying - it sucks. It sucks if you're on the receiving end and it sucks after you bully someone if you have a conscience. You also expose yourself to bigger bullies because they will need to assert their dominance - it's a predatory cycle that leaves everyone hurt.

Bullying is right and normal. It lets members of a group know their actions and ideas do not conform. It keeps degeneracy in check.

Like a fraction of what it does the other way even if "you have a conscience". Lets be honest here, the only people bullying seriously affects (not just some small but constant past regret of how you were too hard on someone) are the weak, specifically the psychologically weak. Be honest here. Being in control of what you are doing and having some past regret about it is far more preferable than being helpless.

Adults at least have a semi-developed brain at least theoretically capable of empathy. Kids don't know anything about society except what they're told and their base animal instincts. That's why we raise children, of course, and why societies look different depending on how adults raise them.

Bullying is good sometimes, when it’s used to regulate behavior that’s genuinely undesirable. The problem is that no one can really control who gets bullied and who doesn’t, so it runs rampant and people who are simply somewhat small or weak and not in need of bullying get targeted.
