Dawn by Phil Elverum (which you should already be familiar with if you're posting that image)
yes i’ve read it. looking for more of the same.
What the fuck is simple living? Living as a simpleton? You're already on it
this.
also try Tolstoi and Coetze.
Where can I read this? Google won't bring me any PDFs and I can't afford to buy a copy of it
if you buy the record from his site you get this poster with the whole thing.
pwelverumandsun.com
Or you can buy it off discogs in book form
discogs.com
>tfw bought the dawn book at one of his shows for like £20
>look on amazon and abe books
>see copies being advertised for between £450 and £1000+
Is this worth trying to sell, or is the appeal too niche?
see
it's on discogs for like $20. Amazon prices are just weird sometimes with obscure things.
Here’s one.
Dawn sounds interesting.
I’d like to spend some alone time in Norway
>japanese art

>preached simple living and made songs about pnw
>left Pacific North West for Brooklyn with Hollywood pussy

Christian?
>Christian?
no
Unmarried?
Unmarried. You’re probably soaked in christian ethos though, but no doubt just hate the music. Musicians use their lives for inspiration. All artistry is that way. You don’t like that he made money by his craft? Well, neither do I. I hate capitalism the most around here. Now imagine him making that music without the profit motive. Because he would’ve.
But then you judge him for being able to find another woman, and in your opinion, too short a time. This is simple jealousy, isn’t it?
I don’t know who this guy is, I might hate the music too, I donno. He may be a real creep, I donno. I don’t care either, and neither should you.
Richard Proenneke has excerpts from his journal. Quite nice, just a simple man who built his own cabin in Alaska (if you haven't seen the documentary). Working class guy who discusses nature, food, visitors, and weather. Basically the opposite of a philosophical treatise on nature.
you to listen both of his albums to judge my position.
i mean if his love was so pure and how badly the death of his wife impacted his life. people so mad in love don't recover from death that quickly.
im not judging him for finding another women. but starting a relationship few months later after her death and those albums, like what the fuck?
>I don’t know who this guy is, I might hate the music too, I donno. He may be a real creep, I donno. I don’t care either, and neither should you.
then what should we do? shut up like robots and don't call out all of the shit in this world? i care about his music because i use to listen to it very often.
I see.
