Honestly, i just treat Philosophy like it's Pokemon. I read different philosophers to catch all the arguments and build up the strongest party of names which i can refer to in any debate. I don't even care what is true or false, or whether i'm representing the philosopher correctly, i just want to win. The bigger the name, the harder it drops, and no one suplexes pseuds as hard as the names i drop. If some positivist comes up it's: Go, Kant! if a capitalist warbles in, Kant withdraws and Marx: i choose you! a commie has an opinion? then i whip out Popper and Hayek; it's super effective! each battle i have levels up that particular philosopher through the Socratic method, making the next time i play it even stronger. Yea Forums is like a gym (one of the shitty ones at the beginning of the game) which i use to train my philosophy, except there's no badge worth winning here. IRL no one want's to debate me anymore because of my extreme erudition, so now i've had to resort to posting anonymously here. Really, the romantic notion of philosophy people have here is just laughable.
