The only way you’ll ever make it is through rewriting. You have to allow the cringy stuff to exist and just make it a little better with each draft until it doesn’t suck anymore.

Original ideas aren't cringe. It's just that when you try to do something original you up the stakes, you get more attention and often your "original" content is just randumb crap.
Even a stupid troll post will get respect if it's truly original.

Have never related more to a shitty greentext. I've been writing a tv series for a couple months and I'm in the exact same fucking boat. I don't know about you, but I've always assumed this kind of stuff stems from isolation. When the only contact you have with the outside world comes from fucking Yea Forums, you're gonna think more negatively, self-esteem's gonna suffer, you're gonna doubt yourself and your ideas, and that's all really bad for creativity. The embarrassment really fucking stings. Especially when it comes from something you used to be proud of. I dunno. We need a different website. Why the fuck is it just this and reddit. I browse r/screenwriting occassionally and it's absolute shit.
