The average age of that board is just north of 25, which makes a huge difference to the quality of the posts over there.

fantasy is really dumb

ur dump

This is literally just an Isekai.
It's not trash, but that's about it. I have read far far better fantasy than this.

/tg/ is reddit for 115 IQ autists who think their generic fantasy shit is an actual interest worthy of an adult

It's a D&D isekai written in a journal format that's really well put together. Don't pretend like anyone on this board could write something better than this.

>isekai
No thanks, homo.

isekai =|= teenage power fantasy wankfest

God damn, Japan has really poisoned the perception of the genre. Howl's Moving Castle, the original book, is a damn isekai, for fuck's sake.

My dude, you're clearly just a visitor here. I've seen my fair share of really good writers here. They're rare, but every once in a while you'll read something that gives you hope.

But for real though table-top nerds who transcend their autism can come up with some cool shit. I had a friend who would create entire universes and then be able to improvise off the cuff as a DM when playing. It kind of spoiled playing D&D for me that wasn't written/DM'd by him.

A few of the really imaginative things I can remember is a suit of armor that could talk when you put it on, like Night Rider or some shit, and a bard in our party getting into a guitar hero type battle set to Rock You Like A Hurricane.

Post some.

the diary of the average lit poster is the best prose there is nowadays. they'll be acclaimed classics in 300 years

millenial diaries will be a whole genre of classics by then

If you think this is good writing, let alone good fantasy, you are quite simply an irredeemable pleb.

Post something better in the same genre, then.

Yes, I remember some guy who claimed to have read medical dictionaries as a child who made a thread where he shared his far-future Algerian-French fantasy novel in a google doc.Very interesting and well-written. I also remember another guy who talked about being inspired by E. R. Eddison who shared some incredible writing from his fantasy novel (I just remember it was a scene about people sitting and talking about a campfire). These were both quite a while ago though. I really wish I'd had the presence of mind to save those stories.

Even your average cookie-cutter leftist fantasy novel from Tor is probably better-written, but if you want something actually worth reading then here: amazon.com/Knight-Book-One-Wizard-ebook/dp/B000FC1AAW

I'm getting power fantasy vibes already. Seems like the type of shit I would've loved to read when I was 13. I bet no one fucks in the books.

It’s like I can smell the dried semen in your room through my monitor.

I bet you like it, you degenerate, just like you like you "muh little boy in adult body" fantasy garbage.

How can you not even know who Gene Wolfe is and be mouthing off about fantasy literature lel. Let me guess, you think George Martin is a good writer.

No, but I think Patrick Rothfuss and Charles Stross is.

They're both garbage (you liking Patrick Rothfuss is also quite ironic considering that you attacked "power fantasy" two posts ago). Please get some taste before posting on Yea Forums again. Thank-you.

you're taste a shit

lol

>Why does /tg/ hold all the talent?
they dont , bust most off their shit is super derivative vomit

Their /pol/r9k/ infection is also a few steps short of fatal, which helps
