whats the best place to buy leather bound books?
Whats the best place to buy leather bound books?
Used book store.
My HPB has a whole wall of them but they aren't cheap, the less valuable ones go for like $35 but the things people actually want like 101 Arabian Nights leather bound is like $60
The best thing is to leather-bind books yourself
AbeBooks
>owned by Jeff Bezos
yeah im thinking no
Still benefits small booksellers more than anything other than going to a brick and mortar store and hunting for finds.
You could also use Abebooks to scan their catalogue and then make them an offer over the phone/email.
You do know how ridiculous these will look mixed together with Penguin/OWC/CreateSpace paperbacks, right?
>mixes paperbacks into his leather shelves
you vain little brainlets do not deserve books. You're way too superficial.
Fucking pseuds.
I'd rather be a pseud than an imbecile with no understanding of aesthetic beauty
>Implying any of you fucks beyond the richest 5% are rich enough to fill a whole shelf with real leatherbounds
I actually do not want to benefit them. They owner makes at least $120,000 a year for himself, lives comfortably, doing basically nothing. He didn't create anything. He just facilitated the sale of books. That's it. The "muh support small business" is a meme by rich liberals thinking they are helping the little guy, when they aren't at all. I want their stores to close. I want to see them suffer and know what squalor and destitution is like. I went on a used fashion website today, founded by a low IQ non-brahman caste Indian, very ironic, and the prices that people pay there, much less the fact that there is a market for them sickened me. It made me realize, we don't need more prosperity. We need less of it, preferably none at all. All it causes is decay and invites trivial consumption at the expense of culture. This society is completely destitute. Good times create weak men.
Go back to your shack, Ted.
None of those books were over 20 bucks CDN. Older stuff is even cheaper.
Why do you want leather bound books? They never fail to look gaudy and they will fall apart if you don't store them in the right environment. They don't even feel good to hold because they'll make your hand sweaty. If you're looking to spend money on quality then get some cloth bound books.
Yes I would also like a bunch of books that will require regular maintenance for the rest of my life.
that's kino af
Barnes and Noble, of course. Talk about taste and class!
They're such garish colors too, why would you dye a leather book with a bright color?
God only knows. Apparently a lot of them are not even sewn, but glued like a paperback. Can't even imagine the paper quality.
holy shit imagine spending that much money just to confirm your status as an irredeemable virgin outcast
Can you imagine just casually reading the Constitution of the US of A ( top right )?
Fuck off, pseud
Just buy a kindle
And the worst thing about it all is that there's zero sense of cohesion about it. No theme that connects them, or at least something that hints at the personality of the owner. Nothing. I bet he ( she? ) just bought every single one of the horrible faux-leatherbounds lol.
>Star Wars Trilogy

Have sex.
1. From where did you purchase these for no over $20.
2. You are only limited to the most mainstream of "classics" with these books.
I agree that they do look aesthetic.
Thanks user.
Second-hand bookstores.
What's the best place to buy books bound in flesh?
The museums and libraries that hold them.
But good luck paying and getting medical journals, because that's all they are.
I’m Canadian as well, which stores specifically? Even BMV, which is usually dirt cheap, charges $40-$100 for anything leatherbound.
I actually own this book lmao. Its the only barnes and noble book I own. There is a lot more than just the US constitution in this book. It is great for reference desu. I have no intention of buying any other book published by barnes and noble tho.
wow one hundred and twenty thousand dollars
I'm a mainland Eurofag so I didn't know. What else does it have? I'm still a bit puzzled by the Star Wars one...
Based
iPhone camera broke, so sorry for shite quality pics...
So, this is basically only useful if you're a lawyer or something of that sort? I can't imagine these writings possessing much in the way of literary merit...
Forgot to mention : Thanks, user.
You have the same understanding of aesthetic beauty as an autistic man who collects Funko pops.
This book shines light on the conditions that allowed for the American revolution. So it is beneficial from a historical standpoint. Additionally, when tracing political and philosophical thoughts from the ancient Greeks to modern day America, it is nice to have this book as a bridge.
You can buy leather bound "collected works" from many mainstream classic authors for like 20$ if you look around.
They made piles of that stuff in the 40s
