I lived with an English major for two years. She switched to it after failing/anxiety-attacking her way out of Biology/Teaching. She never read any of the assigned books (I helped her with some that I'd happened to have already read) and she made a big deal out of some Mills and Boon novel she bought from the secondhand shop (she left it on the coffee table - it took her all year to read it).
