>PENIS ENVY

Good books to do recreational cocaine to

Everything.

Is there anything of substance from your brain? There's gotta be at least one thing.

no i dont think so

Yeah, there is. And that's not so much a glowing endorsement of Freud as it is a scathing blow against modern psychology.

A figure of fun - loathesome deceit. Charlatanic (and satanic) nonsense

>Another trash-Freud thread

Modern approach to any psychological problem. Do not talk about it, don't dare even mentioning it. Just take your prescribed pills and everything is gonna be allrright.

There is value in reading most of what Freud wrote. You won't be doing yourself a disservice by getting a decent collection of his works and going through them. He was quite a compelling writer too, so you'll enjoy it if that sort of thing interests you. 'Freud bad' is a tiresome meme that is peddled by idiots. He didn't get everything right, but when you read a bit of Freud, it feels like a lot of people are still catching up. You can't live in the modern/post-modern world and not feel like everyone is riddled with these neuroses, and I'm probably not qualified to be saying anything like this but I have a hunch that a lot of modern anti-Freud psychology is a bit of a cope to avoid dealing with these neuroses.

The substance was cocaine

I've read that he often smoked 20 cigars a day.

Yes, at least his earlier work is somewhat valuable. For every other good paragraph there is a sentence of lie though. And who would like to drink from a poisoned well, even if the poison just makes a small percentage of the water? I suggest you to read Jung instead, he's like Freud, but not Jewish.

just read jung

Freud's identification of neuroses and other mental phenomena I have no issue with, he was very perceptive at seeing those patterns, it's when he tries to explain the mechanisms that he mostly loses me because his entire system of the mind and the way it develops from infancy is just conjecture.

So?

It's a lot of cocks

>Having vices is okay.
Cringe. It reflects on his character which in turn reflects on his thought.

So... he ended up having over 30 surgeries for cancer of the mouth... All the while refusing to quit smoking.

Based

Jung is awful, Freud is way more based

No but there’s a lot of good incest stories because of him.
