Yea Forums hasn't had real mods for 6 months now, but every now and then a jannie comes by to delete good threads, random posts they don't agree with, and hand out bans arbitrarily. This is the second three-day ban I've had in under two weeks for memes. You can't let the board go to shit and then just start handing out bans for no fucking reason. And as a reminder, the mods left pedo threads up for days at the same time as these bans. You need to delete these jannies and get some people who can be objective. If there's an off-topic shitpost then give a warning, there's no need for heavy bans over a meme posted on a meme board.
Post anything you have noticed, such as posts deleted and their political position (natonalist ones are what I have noticed most), and any ridiculous bans you have received. /rdt/ fags shouting /HIS/ and 'YOU DESERVED IT' should all be banned permanently.

Banning isn't really a solution. People need to make their own quality posts as well as good memeposts and the jannies deleting effortposts simply need to be removed permanently. That's the biggest problem right now, even if it's only 1 in 20 threads it is a huge hit on discussion considering the amount of low effort posts.

Yeah i noticed the same thing. I frequently get 3 days bans for similar threads. Really most of the time it's a meme but with an obvious opinion to spur a discussion. I posted pic related once and got banned, even though I think the discussion would have been valuable and interesting. But oh well, this overpoliced shithole is one of the reason we have so little OC compared to other boards, really sad if you think about it.

absolutely agreed, I have seen it in threads on metaphysics, theology and far-right ideologies. Especially the last category; the amount of effort posters has decreased commensurate to the censorship.
I took screenshots of two unjustly censored threads from a couple of months ago, to show a fren, but I can't find them now sadly.

What's the problem with getting a 3 day time out for posting a low effort meme thread that is difficult to start a discussion with? Like, I agree that the moderation is arbitrary, but I think having a more detailed and more enforced sticky would fix this. I think overall, we just don't have enough janitors to keep up with it all, and the ones we do have are slightly biased, but that mostly stems from having a vague/ignored sticky.

I remember being confused as to why they deleted one of the first schizothreads, then I realised that the jannies farm this board for very specific political (contemporary) discussion. Anything else is anathema. I've stopped really caring, but it ends up making them into pedophiles, sadists, etc, because in order to mine out the minuscule vein of content they enjoy, they have to leave up horrendous threads (like teenagers poorly trying to be transgressive because they can't approach a taboo directly). They're really just flatly retarded.
