Is fantasy thé best genre in inexisence?

Think about how Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones, even hunger games and Dune or essentially anything escapism, becomes the highest of successes with mainstream audience after their muse core fandom spread them sufficiently to reach the high ground. Not to mention their exceptional rise in popularity after theatrical movie releases, still reasonating with everyone who decised to engage with the litterature it's based on.
Fantasy are on top of cinema and also generally the book-genre apart from maybe the goddamn bible.. Is this the ultimate, indismissable genre to satiate everyone's -both fanatic's and normies'- standards ?
It is without a doubt undeniably and astonishably well written by some form of outcast outstandingy tallented author..
Fantasy is merely everything human kind desires to escape into evry day into a world you wish to live in.

I like fantasy, even stuff like Harry Potter but I don't read it very often at all(understatement). It can be nice to escape, and some literary fiction is also an escape, but day to day i am more focused on philosophy, religion, poetry, etc. which for me are much more important than fantasy.We have to live in this world after all.

Fantasy is like having a deep intense massage by a top chiropractor. It can make your relax so that it can get to all those places you use too much and too often without release. You think, ok this isn’t real. But then it gets real. With a great writer, it gets very very real. Same with my example, your getting a massage and suddenly this person is reorganizing your skeleton. What comes to mind is Plato. Take Euthyphro, you have two random people from thousands of years ago arguing about Gods. It’s as far removed as possible- and yet it resonates more than some modern explication by some living theologian. I think writing itself is fantastic, so it follows that great writing always exists in a kind of fantasy, not so much opposed to “reality” but opposed to boredom and blandness. Some books literally make me feel like a bucket of tobacco spit, while others make me want to change the world. Its something fantastic

People who take an active interest in reading and literature generally become less and less interested in fantasy. This is true in every culture.

thats some dumb thing to say about the eutifron dialogue. the gods are just a way to explain what socrates think about justice and mercy (even though has obviously the gods there). and i dont think religion can be compared to fantasy as well. religion is something serious, not funny at all - even dark as fuck -, and its meant to be serious. fantasy books are made for you to have fun (even though they fail in that task). anyway, compare religion to fantasy, that the only thing in common are the fictitious beings, are something dumb to do.

I wonder if there ever have been fantasy books published and so intensely well written because the author was in actual fact not 100% with their head in reality and was basically passing on a message or whatever in his/her story awhilst sufficiently aware that when admitting this (s)he'd be shunned and ridiculed I guess we'll never know
