I really like hard consonants, K is my favorite sound. I wrote a paper in college theorizing that most exclamations in the English language gain favor not because of their meaning, but because of the plosive sound of their pronunciation.

Think of your favorite curse, and realize that it's probably got hard consonants in it, which is why it's probably considered worse than another word that means the same thing but has a softer pronunciation.

Poop and Shit are literally the same word, except shit is much more satisfiying to shout when something bad happens. Sex and FUCK are the same thing, but FUCK is much more satisfying to shout because it has that plosive feel to it. Same thing with Jew and Kike, or Black guy and Coon. All good exclamations have that sound except maybe God Dammit, though "God" if said angrily enough sort of has it.
