I liked the song, although not really agreeing with the message. Thanks user

its postmodern french academia and cultural movements existential anxiety condensed into a song
french got tired of living in modern times and now they are all sperging out

Read Céline instead. The true redpill is that things have been irredeemably shitty for decades if not centuries if not forever. Read Ecclesiastes ffs. "Redpill" from two millenia ago.

Nice Québec song. The translation is sometimes inaccurate though, but the lyrics have that Canadian freshness French song from the metropole never quite reach. Thanks for the discovery fren.

women are pretty flowers. men are gentle gardeners.

Isn't that all the West though?
However that song alone is almost a refutation of that diagnostic, it's brimming with energy. Québecois in general strike me as "younger" (in spirit, in culture) than the French.

well french modernized way earlier than everyone else and their history and culture is generally a mess aligned in a way where those sentiments would surface

Any book in particular?

Journey to the End of the Night, which chronicles mainly his time as a soldier in WW1 (a great traumatism for him) and subsequent desertion. It was his brealthrough novl and his generally considered a great innovation in the history of French prose.
Mort à Crédit (Death on the installment plan) is his second and perhaps best novel. You can start with either.

Be warned, it's pretty dark. Céline was a tad unhinged and had a tendency to shit on everything. He wrote an antisemitic pamphlet (Bagatelles pour un massacre) so violent it embarrassed even the Nazis authorities who censored it, but in some of his writings he also he rejoices in the coming replacement of the white race. He was something of an all-inclusive racists at times.

thanks user

Based French.

there are degrees though. everyone should read Nock

elaborate

Women are manipulative whores. Men are heartless predators

the woman is the garden in which i plant my seed

Agreed, most of his novels are worth reading. Heck, I even enjoyed parts of Bagatelles pour un massacre although I'm a Jew. It's like Joyce and his fartfucking letters to his wife, when you're a really great stylist everything you write with passion is going to be well-written.

Simply read good literature. I propse Queneau's >
>Pierrot mon ami
>Loin de Rueil
>Le Dimanche de la vie

Im probably going to crack this open not because it interests me but because Yea Forums‘s reaction to this guy is completely unique and non-polarized, and that arouses my interest in itself.
I agree although you’re giving Joyce all the best of it.

It is indeed pretty good but there are one or two scenes that are pretty pornographic. Style isn't the greatest too, it's more about the content, the substance rather than the form. I'd recommend this book to anyone. It's great.

Every Houellebecq book is just a thinly veiled rant about how horny he is.
