>Completely fucking up your brain to the point where you can't discern illusion from reality
>Can know more about life and reality

lol ok

That's the idea in practice, but 90% of the time doing psychedelics is like drinking from a hose. Better to microdose and have 1-2 big trips per year. (As in heroic dose in a dark room alone) There seems to be a lot of spiritual truth on the other side of a trip, but once the trip ends, you just forget the overwhelming majority of what you learned

Drugs don't do anything.

They show simpletons funny colours and shapes and make them so physically impaired that they're FORCED to use introspection for the first time in their pathetic lives. They have their "mind blown" for a month and go back to being the retarded faggots they are, bumbling through life like a toddler chewing on everything it sees.

>tfw druggie friend won't let me use psychedelics because he says I wouldn't be able to handle it

I'm always going to be mediocre and boring.

Last time I took LSD Hegel appeared to me out of a fog of triangles, called Marx a midwit faggot, gave me a pen, and disappeared back into the fog of triangles.

Make of that what you can

this sin't true in the slightest, they aren't magic, psychs can lead to better self understanding and altered perception but that's it, people who treat psychs like some kind of sentient god are mongs
t. done psychs 20+ times over the years

Do it, as long as you stay humble and know to let go you will do good.

>psychdelics reveal a million times more truth than philosophy and religion
Well go on then, tell us some.

Another mushroom eater upset when he's told that his flashing colors don't mean a fucking thing

why do drugs upset you so much? what drugs have you tried?

This is only true at low doses.

From a trip report on erowid just to give you a rough example:
>After body and psyche are broken down and blasted out in all directions, there is only emptiness. This is the clear light of the unformed, the un-become. There is in fact no experience here that the psyche can preserve in memory. This state coincides with the death of the ego and a discontinuity of recorded experience. It would be impossible for me to say how much Earth time elapsed during this state of freedom; later Echo would tell me the silence lasted around 10 minutes. The first flash of experience is a recognition of falling out of this emptiness. Only after slipping out of the void can any conscious recognition occur. As the clear light slipped away, I recognized it as sheer perfection. It is identified as divine bliss; a state completely devoid of imperfections, impermanence, or dissatisfaction of any kind. It lacks any hint of duality or ego and has a distinct impersonal quality. Just after falling out of the light, I felt I had an opportunity to return to it. This window is quite small however, since the fall out of the light is like the falling of an object toward the Earth. At first the object falls slowly; enough energy directed upward may overcome the downward motion and return the object to its original position, but after some time, the object gathers too much momentum and there is no reversing the fall. The psyche pulls at one in the same way that gravity pulls a falling object. The initial flash of recognition is produced by the first shred of the psyche reinstating itself. As this piece solidifies, other pieces begin to solidify around it. As more pieces of the psyche fall into place, the self-reconstruction process accelerates like an avalanche. Timely application of just the right kind of concentrated energy could reverse this avalanche and return one to the liberation of the clear light. However, in my case, the pull of my ego is strong and familiar, and affinity for the habitual inevitably pulled me away from the impersonal void and back into the process of reconstructing my psyche.

I understand you've been exposed to the stereotype of the drugged out hippie saying "deep" philosophical things like colors don't exist, but I assure you, once you are past the threshold of low doses, these experiences are much more profound. I don't think it's about "philosophical insight" so much as it is about peering into your own mind/consciousness

Imagine.
>Hundreds of years from now
>Society has collapsed
>Gatherer from stoner zoomer clan is searching for shrooms
>Comes across shroom-covered Bible
>Reads it and trips out
>Brings it back to the clan, who rediscover Christianity

obviously never used psychedelics.
pathetic pussy excuses, please man up and stop making shit up to justify your fear of the unknown

I really want to try these drugs but don’t know how to get a hold of them. Can someone give me a hint that isn’t use “get them of the dark web :))) lmao”

In my experience, psychedelics never "revealed truth", but they damn well revealed me to myself.
They helped immensely in treating my depression.
These things shatter your illusions. They don't make you see nonexistent shit, they make you see things as they really are, free of spook.

look druggies, I've smoked weed for 3 years now and done DMT.

There's nothing about flashing colors, seeing irregularly shaped objects, or walking around like a corpse that constitutes knowledge.

No one wants to listen to you babble on about "the system man" or "dude look at the stars man", and now you are all here to vent your frustrations about that,

No one cares

>I've never done shrooms
>here's my opinions on shrooms
also answer my question, you've come into a thread filled with something you don't like just to complain about it, why do you care so much?

Try meditation bro

google "how to buy drugs online" then read a guide that explains everything step by step you muppet you could get an incredibly detailed answer in just a google search but instead you want some user to write one for you

I don’t want some retarded redditors disposition on it is all

Networking. Make friends with stoners, rave-goers, party people, you'll eventually strike gold. If you want drugs, dive into the drug scene.

>JUST EAT SOME MUSHROOMS MAN

Why are you so upset when people tell you to get a life

>i've done dmt
It's clear to me you've never broken through if you think that's all that's contained in the psychedelic experience.

I have a friend who is a literal drug dealer but he only sells heroin and shit, I’ve asked if he can get LSD but he only wants stuff he’s willing to try with me and he’s a total pussy when it comes to those kinds of drugs.

>giving opinion on LSD and shrooms
>says he's never done LSD or shrooms

You demolished yourself, user. Even I'd probably listen to what you have to say, but now you can be safely ignored.

stop strawmanning and avoiding the question, you say a thread full of something you like and decided to go into it and engage with it, now you're more upset than you would have been if you just avoided it

let's suppose you see the Lord on drugs
was it the drugs or the Lord?
how will you ever know?
how much time will the doubt take up?
was it worth it?

>they make you see things as they really are, free of spook.
Sure am glad I never tried them then.

>I DO LSD AINT I JUST SO QUIRKY

more babble. Get some friends

Used to do lsd and thought I had achieved enlightenment. Now after Christianity I know how much of a retard I used to be.

>Now after Christianity I know how much of a retard I used to be.
>used to be

>know more of life and reality in one day than a scholar
A Tree Is Known by Its Fruit - or so they say - so it should be easy to prove. What have people who used lsd written that shows their superior understanding? Pic related.

In my experience, mushrooms or LSD have a lot to offer, in the form of extremely unique and intense forms of experience and modes of thought. However, it makes little sense to regard these forms as "true". To actually get anything out of these experiences, you have to have the means to contextualize them. Time and time again I see normies who drop 10g of mushrooms, and don't learn anything other than the fact that astrology, apparently, is a valid way of analysing politics and that tumeric cures cancer. Unless you are at least reasonably intelligent, are interested in introspection, and have at least some understanding of philosophy (does not have to be from reading historical works), you will probably draw a lot of irrational conclusions from the trip, simply because of how intense it is.

However, if you actually are the kind of person I described, psychedelic experiences are useful as they give your mind a lot of material to chew on. If you're working with phenomenology, the psychedelic state is really so different that it gives your mind twice the objects on which to apply the theory. It's like instant understanding of linguistics in general you recieve from speaking two languages.

>Reading/trying to read Hegel on a massive dose
Has anyone tried something like this?

this post is a joke right

I like the idea of a fantasy religion where they consume shrooms for clarity at the cost of their minds in a similar fashion to the moth priests and reading the elder scrolls.

Western Buddhism/Hinduism is basically atheism but with weed, shrooms, and acid.

I thought these things were supposed to kill your ego, not make it worse.

psychedelics are for brain dead people

Lmao, as someone who has tripped I have always had this observation of people who say they have no ego. Just a lack of self awareness yet it’s so prevalent, I think that the stigma of psychedelics has had an effect where retards can have more influence on the flow of information and the perception of the culture, if it was legal and normal any lies and immaturity on the part of a tripper would be uncovered by rationalism.

What if you are all those things in addition to being highly neurotic, slightly depressed, and lonely? Is that a recipe for disaster? I'm deathly afraid of having my mind permanently frazzled by something like LSD.

unbased CIA posters

>I’ve smoked weed for 3 years
>I’ve done DMT
Watch out guys, badass alert!!

>why partake in the thousands year long traditions of philosophy and religion when you could just poison yourself with some chemicals invented in a lab and fry your brain

I gave up drugs for Christ.

More than likely you’ll find the sources or possible reasons for you depression behavior. I’ve had lingering major depressive disorder since 18 (130iq, all-state athlete), trouble not sabotaging any interpersonal relationship, obviously neurotic; in spite of which I tripped on shrooms for the first time this past spring and honestly turned my life around. Does it cure any of the ailments I have? No. It does make them easier to deal with because now I recognize my torment and misery as self inflicted, and push myself to not reflect on desires that won’t truly satisfy me and we’re instead conditioned into me by society through a young age. I’ve now tripped weekly on about 50ug for a couple months. It does slightly jumble your personality for a few days after (but you need to take advantage of this and really try to change who you are, you brain is more easily molded in this state) but things normalize within a week and become concrete again.

I don't think those character traits are a problem in themselves, but since you're saying you're deathly afraid of LSD frying your brain, you should probably wait for a while. You can get that notion out of your head though, LSD cannot cause braindamage. However, the mindset you have at the start of the trip is going to color the entire experience. I'd suggest you wait until you're in a calm state of mind and in a pleasant environment before you try it. If you can manage that, I see no reason not to take at least a medium dose. Small doses of psychedelics are 100% harmless afaik. You just see patterns in the walls, and everything feels a little different, sounds sound crispier or danker ect. Mushrooms don't start to seriously affect your thinking, memory or time perception etcetera before the 2 gram range I've found, which is when trips gain the potential to be really bad.

Perhaps an audiobook would better suit your needs. That wouldn't keep your concentration from being infantile, though.

Attached: 1456274098114.jpg (200x200, 5K)

its funny because OP is right. psychedelics are a scientific attempt to brainwash a population, the other things he mentioned are old shitty ways of doing the same thing.

Psychedelics are unreliable, learn to use Lilly's water tank. It's a sensory deprivation device that the CIA tried to co-opt for interrogation and brainwashing but Lilly would have none of it so he left his government job to start studying dolphin cognition.

The CIA kept his early device but eventually abandoned it (turns out there's no such thing as brainwashing as far as modern science can tell). However the device had a second life and came to be widely used in New Age circles. When properly handled it can induce meditative experiences comparables to those experiences by mystics of various religions.

>no such thing as brainwashing

Attached: Alexandria-Ocasio-Cortez.jpg (600x600, 37K)

It's a good thing that you didn't quote me in your post, it shows that you know that with a mere picture for only argument you're not yet worthy and debating with me. So come back when you have an actual argument.

>inb4 American politics is brainwashing
No, that's propaganda, general stupidity spreading naturally, and convincing people of things they already thought were true. None of that is brainwashing or personality rewriting. Stop spreading nonsense.

>google "how to buy drugs online"
Nice try FBI

you spent 3 years treading water smoking weed and you're telling people to get a life for taking a day out to try shrooms/lsd

It is clear we should all get a life here

You'd be better off having read and understood him beforehand, then thinking critically about his ideas again on LSD

Psychedelics only make you gullible, nothing more.

You are of course a big man, the philosopher king, towering above all the dimwits and retards. Yet here you are, wallowing in filth and baiting for attention.

only if by nature you outsource your reality. and even then you could resolve not to

I smoked synthetic marijuana a few times, and it sent me on wild trips
I saw crazy things, but I didnt learn anything spiritual or whatever

What have you learned from psychedelics? How has it changed you?

If you're in bad mental health, dont take drugs. It only makes it worse. You need a sound mind to handle psychedelics. My brother was predisposed to being crazy, he took tons of ecstasy, lsd, weed and then he developed schizophrenia
He reckons he's a wise spiritual guru, but his work is mainly badly drawn shapes and weird gematria about nonsense Crowely wrote

It makes GR easier to understand

>synth weed

What the fuck is wrong with you don't do that

I had no idea how bad it was at the time.

It deconditions you from your habitual mode of being. Part of that could be seeing the inherent beauty in simple things that you've abstracted away by repeated exposure. Out in nature is a fantastic place to trip.
Another part is being able to step outside yourself into a different perspective, and observe the normally unquestioned bullshit that might be present in your typical rationalisations/instincts.
If there are things you are hiding from or avoiding, it can bring them front and centre for you to contend with.
You can use it as a way of increasing your expectations of yourself and the things you interact with. Or to empathise and bond with other people who are also tripping.
Personally, it wasn't until my first trip that I started understanding and integrating my capacity for evil, whereas previously I'd been conditioned to only be a "niceguy", with all that entails

I'm cynical about potential revelations because most trippers I've met are retarded, brain dead, and pretentious. One night I was looking after someone who was taking some cactus the Indians had spirit journeys on, and the fucker nearly murdered me with a butchers knife. Had another friend who did it too, and he hid behind a dumpster for several hours, having a nightmare
I think psychadelica can only help you if you're a certain kind of person, already open to introspection and of relatively sound mind. It's a tool for certain, able individuals. I would not reccomend it to 99% of humans

I spent 15 years doing weed, LSD, shrooms, lived in Brazil just for ayaguasca. It started when I became friends with occultists from the OTO who thought they could talk to spirits. The whole thing was all a delusional LARPfest, I'm sure glad I grew out of that shit

Most of you guys look like total retards. Psychedelics do have some benefits but OP's claim is utterly ridiculous. I would wager that none of you have tried psychedelics at all, and if OP has actually tried them then he has fried his brain from over-use.

Sounds like you're just friends with sketchy people.

Yea you might be right. If you're a smooth brain habitual stoner looking for the next level mindfuck you'll probably be satisfied with some wavy vision and "everything is one", and being in public, esp when tripping alone, can definitely be rough. In the end it's just the contents of your own mind you'll be exploring, from an inflated/religious perspective of how significant everything is

Yeah I agree. I think OP is right in the sense that it provide first-hand, experiential truth on those themes, which can be more impactful than intellectually comprehended truth. But the priest's truths would absolutely be more refined and free of personal subjective voodoo

They're certainly not enlightened

drugs open the door but it's up to you to follow the way

maaaaaaaaaaan

more like moldy bible haha

>truth

>tfw philosophy degree and acid head
do both faggot, psychedelics can open certain types of nonlinear thinking but without actual study to l bolster that with you will always remain ignorant. the secret ratio is like 10% drugs 90% reading

I have had a few experiences with LSD and mushrooms and I definitely disagree with OP. The experiences were fun, confusing at times, and interesting, but I can’t say I learned much if anything at all.

The experience is so obscure that I feel like I would need to do them a lot before I could really figure out what the hell is going on and learn from them.

Before I tried them I expected and extremely introspective trip but we all have to remember that there is a reason why psychedelics are used recreationally by many fools.

So how do you have a deeply meaningful and introspective trip? Before anyone says you need to take a higher dose, I have done this before and I was mainly met with confusion. It’s hard to make sense of the world around you if you are losing your sense of self. And once you do lose your sense of self and feel like you are in another dimension, I can’t say there is anything to be learned outside of the fun of the feeling

>Some experiences are real and others are illusory.
It sure is brainlet in here.

Based

In my experience psychedelics don't reveal truth. If anything they remove you from truth and unfortunately make reality look comparatively unenchanted when you come down. I wish I had never done mushrooms.

Psychedelics? Keep off that crap. The shit that keeps me going is a mix of dark cocoa powder and instant coffee.

I do t know one person who really changed after LSD, they are either stupid druggies (doing soft drugs a few times doesnt make you a druggie, but many do more than that) or pretentious assholes.
None of them has written a book or done anything extraordinary, most still aren't in great relationships or even have a half decent job like programmer, doctor or lawyer.

I have done some weed and shrooms years ago, all it really does is make you happy which obviously makes it easier to accept some things about yourself, pr think thoughts that would orherwise make you too ashamed or sad, so you surpress them.
