What do you read to explain heterosexual attraction? Aren't women just a womb and something pretty to look at?

I believe there are too kinds of female beauty: one is the "maiden" while the other is the "whore". I believe Sigmund Freud described the two types of women men desire in similar terms. He called it the Madonna-Whore complex I believe.
The Maiden is a chaste beauty. She is lithe and graceful like a ballerina. Her presence is soothing and calming. She appeals to the immaterial, the ethereal. She appeals to our destrudo.
The Whore is her opposite. Her essence is flesh. Just like the Earth, she is warm and curvy. She belongs entirely to the realm of the material. She appeals to our lust, earthly desires, our libido.
But if it wasn't for the sex instinct, as Schopenhauer says, we wouldn't give the name of the fair sex to women, who are narrow-shouldered, broad-hipped and short-legged.
Freud does a good job describing the poverty of thought in the male, but this is the last thing OP needs.
But he’s gay, so I fear nothing will reach him.
Shut up butterdyke. A woman like you couldn't understand what men think.
imagine taking anything and breaking it down into two vague categories and thinking "yes, that about covers everything"
imagine thinking that it's in any way insightful or helpful or approaching any kind of universal truth
It would certainly be neat and convenient if we could do that and feel confident that we'd actually explored something thoroughly instead of reducing it down to a useless semantic dichotomy
I know many girls who are the Maiden type but try so desperately to be the Whore type. Why's that? Does the Western world favour the Whore?
It's all a work of the Demiurge.
Is this a Submission extract?
>What do you read to explain heterosexual attraction?
The mystery plays a huge part. We know what a man could feel or thinking, but women are impredictable and mysterious. I'm sure some author has expanded on this.
They’re smart and have a lot of insight & more emotional maturity than almost all males. We need them to become our best self I feel
What do you think about the movie Blue is the warmest colour?
>They’re smart and have a lot of insight & more emotional maturity than almost all males.
Some but not all.
Pattern recognition is important to understand the world. And contrary to what you may believe, people aren't special unique snowflakes, you can classify them based on a number of criteria and peg them into neat little categories.
I haven't read Submission yet, these are my original thoughts after walking too many times to braphogs
Women in general understand men better than they, generally, do themselves. Certain lesbians even more so.
A bisexuals film with a goofy hetero males ideal lesbian sex scene. Lovely cinematography, good acting, okay story, but it pulls punches. We’re just supposed to get a warm heart and stiff boner for the un-anchorable animalistic girl. What else?
Also, I think the writer was going for the main character from Rubyfruit Jungle. When do we see a film of that I wonder. Too spicy?
Yow

They can be much more when forced to by environment. Unfortunately the environment rarely forces em to, it happens only to very ugly women who never got any male attention who get over it and go on some path of self-realization, or in now somewhat exotic cultural matriarchies.
I'd say 3/4 of women get stuck as 12yos developmentally simply because most societies tend to infantilize women to that end (chivalry, whiteknightning, you know the drill).
>you can classify them based on a number of criteria and peg them into neat little categories
Categories and sets represent a purely mathematical outlook on the universe. Reducing it down to set logic is saying the human mind approaches truth as the categories approach infinite, meaning yes, every human is a special unique snowflake and the reduction to two categories is the second worst possible fit of all versions of the truth after reduction to one category.

is most of what there is to say about the matter. People who fall on either extreme need to learn from one another, while acknowledging a common goal of multifaceted personhood that can similarly encompass and learn from those who conform to a lesser degree.
There's an interesting dynamic in perception of categories between genders.
Men prefer generality and categories, so they say "all X are like that", with implicit assumption outliers exist, but are not statistically significant.
Meanwhile, when woman hears "some X are like that", she automatically assumes "all", bringing exaggerated significance to outliers and individuality.
I think this outlines a fundamental dimorphism between female/male brain. Women actively reject generalities, and instead prefer to look at each individual case, and if forced to generalize, sum up only the individual cases she personally knows. This cognitive approach is "safe bet", very accurate, but doesn't allow for projection of big picture.
Meanwhile, men do sweeping generalizations and speculation - sample few cases, and often extrapolate from sample points too few for the extrapolation to have any informational value. This is high risk/high reward play with incomplete information, as it has more predictive power, but can be very inaccurate.
Of course there's a middle ground: Entire field of statistics which tells you exactly how many sample you need and how to avoid biases.

I think this is a reasonable estimate. It happens to most males too, but society tends to attribute masculinity as more mature. Tough guys like younger Mike Tyson was very immature, and even now his mind festers in spiritualism
What does "immature" even mean? I'd consider having any reasonable life goal, that is, have some concrete point to walk towards as mature. Boxing can be mature - competetive endeavor like any. Being concerned about cunt, fading looks and desire to be pampered? That's a rather sad life goal when you think about it, yet a rather shocking amount of women are this vapid.
