GO TO Yea Forums IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT MUSIC
I stand ready to be shot
Not to be edgy but Spiderland really, not for the lyrics alone but being one of the few rock albums that feels as if it's channeling a unique artistic vision and view of the world.
People who spend all day reading books will never have good taste in music. The mediums are far too different.
carl orff's carmina burana is a collection of dark ages poetry set to operatic style music and singing
My favourite. Although Trionfo di Afrodite will always have a special place in my heart.
I'm drinking so maybe I'll post some selections in this thread.

i always thought the go-betweens were Yea Forums
i mean their lyrics. not just the name taken from the lp hartley novel.
I guess I should qualify this and say that I spent much more of my youth listening to music than reading books. And probably today spend more time listening and contemplating than actually reading.

Both these are completely fucking based.
Discard all these indie recs - they're really quite juvenile (besides the OP's - Joanna is in a league of her own)
Astor Piazzola's Zero Hour is one of the best things I've ever heard, and I wish more people knew about it.

How did he do it?
Read the 33 1/3 book, it's fantastic
is it worth reading when you've seen the documentary already?
no, the documentary is basically the same as the book, both are still very good
>Uruk-Hai - Across The Misty Mountains
classical music is boring and unpleasant
