I work in a molecular pathology lab, not Yea Forums indeed. I'd rather be slumming it as a family doctor's assistant or something, hanging out with old folks with about a dozen different illnesses.

As a /chem/ist I can tell you that chem is not Yea Forums at all. Anything outside the lab is math heavy and anything inside the lab is very dry. Except maybe for organic chemistry. Organic chemistry is the poetry of chemistry.

Unironically, Basil's death from Dorian Gray, inspired me to pursue chemistry. Chemistry degree is boring tho, I want to leave and live in the woods or travel and evade draft and then do sudoku.

It's clinical, and I'm just a labrat really. We deal almost exclusively with cancer, checking which mutations might be present in a patient's genes or their tumour, which affects the way the disease is treated.
