it's shit

>tfw ccru memed me into reading it
it's a nice break from heavier stuff tho

I fucking love Gibson's Bridge Trilogy and while it may not be as historically important as the Sprawl Trilogy to which NR belongs, to my mind it is not only more interesting and more fun to read but it has also aged better. Can recommend.

The author has ADHD but that makes the work more disturbing.

Snow Crash and Synners are good.

Fine if you want a break from thinking and just want to be entertained by fun concepts. Could read much worse.

MAXIMUM CATALOGUENEMENON!

Steampunk is better

vigilante hackers or other generic underdog types like inventor or android fight against faceless threat like big evil company or evil AI.
Seriously grab Perdido Street Station or some other neovictorian novel instead.

Read Hakim Bey. Get a job.

You aren't making any sense whatsoever

cyberpunk is soon to be dead, thanks to the normie influx the next year. just like the zombie genre was killed by normies this decade.

It's good for genre fiction but it's not "good" ifykwim

Are you referring to genre as in lit or movies and games too ?
Because as far as I know zombies have never been as popular as they were 8 years ago, it's like waking up a coma patient just so in a day he dies

>is genre fiction any good
No. It's even worse when you inject pseudo-intellectual wank into it, which is extra common in cyberpunk.

Its genre fiction like any other

You can curse on the internet you know
