You couldn't do that. Texts presuppose languages and languages presuppose a conceptual lifeworld, which arguably presupposes a certain transcendental comportment unique to or at least similar to humans. You can't detach a text from any of these contexts. To teach the aliens how to read anything, we'd have to be teaching them our deep grammar as well, which would immediately require drawing upon other texts, individual human life experiences (which include texts), etc. If they are even somewhat capable of understanding these things, then they probably share in our transcendental comportment to some degree, which is already more interesting than sharing any single atomized text. If they are readily capable of understanding because their baseline cognition is extremely similar to ours, it arguably suggests even more interesting things about νους and λογος that alien life is cognitively "anthropomorphic."
