Why yes I do know that Socrates was merely a created character used by Plato and Xenophon
wrong. socrates was the writer of the dialogues and comedies, he invented plato and xenophon as pen names and included himself as a character

Apologia is a true primary source, Plato and Xenophon may have recorded it but it's attested to by other contemporaries. Socrates was certainly adapted into a Platonic character to some extent but I don't think that to what extent and in what way is ever not going to be a subject of debate. That he existed and was tried for what is recorded in the Apology is not up for debate
I don't think lifting's gonna change your bone structure pal

>But there are several Socrates spanning the dialogues with distinct dispositions, how could you tell?
>Of course I know that Caesar is merely a metaphor inveted by historians and later politicians for the sliding descent of the Roman Republic into authoritanism. How could you tell?
>writers who hate each other would invent a character whose characteristics in their works are the same, where multiple people were present in both of their works and bothered to write an apology for a fictional person
I know this is b8, but there are actually people that believe this
There is a partial truth there. As Butterfly and others have mentioned, Socrates did indeed exist. He just wasn't the exact philosopher as described by Plato. But you can compare and contrast Plato's dialogues with Socrates and Laws, the Plato dialogue without him. There is a remarkable difference in tone and overall message. The two forms of socialism described in The Republic and Laws are extremely different as well. Private property being held in common simply in the Republic, and in the Laws these sorts of things were explained through legal requirements. The difference is in the details, because in Laws, although property was assigned to different social castes indiscriminately, the people could still eat fruit off of other's property and were assigned houses by the state frequently.
Now stop walking into the fucking bookstore with no shirt on and ordering books like you're at some kind of fast food restaurant you fucking dumbass :3
That body is merely aesthetic.
This bald gorilla with jiggling moobs would snap gigachad's brain off its stem in ten seconds.
Love Fury but posting Ruiz would have been more to the point as he is a literally fatty that completely disassembled an Adonis-bodied chad
Xenophon was a midwit of his time. He'd be too dumb to make something like socrates up.
Is there any good lit about boxing?
vit K.
Not that I know of. Bukowski writes about going to fights but I don't know that I would call that good or about boxing. Stripped of all the exoteric elements of corruption, venality, hype boxing is absolutely the most beautiful, brutal and sacred of all sports. Two men confined to a space with only their wits and muscles as weapons, challenged with out-clobbering one another against all instinct for self preservation or safety, risking being lain low for all the world to see for some small taste of a fleeting and eternal glory.
that's retarded
gaius certainly existed and wrote books
t. not chad
Imagine being an Adonis-bodied chad and being on the losing end of the upset of the century at the hands of that pudgy fuck.
chad was high or something, fat dude had hands
Eh, it's not as bad as the "Paul ruined Christianity" meme.

Do you mean that Ruiz hits hard, or that literally anyone who has hands could have beaten Joshua that night?
