Night shift security guard
Do your rounds
Read or write the rest of the time
Just don’t get stabbed by random junkies trying to steal copper wire

Sounds super comfy. I wish I could find a job where I could just sit and read the whole time

I unironically wish I could get a wagecuck job.
Studying in a university city and there are so many students here it’s impossible to get even a shitty fast food job.
Makes it worse because half the businesses are owned by Chinese here and they only hire other Chinese students.

Pharmacist.is wagie #1 job.

Canada?

In a bookstore? or library?

Imagine falling for the wagie meme. Society doesn't deserve our time.

Not in most public libraries, most of the time you are teaching old people to use the computer.

What’s the most burgerpunk job?

Close!
Australia, we are on par with Canada in terms of Chinese

Frycook, obviously. Alternatively, dishwasher.

get an office job at a big corporation. They won't notice that you're not working and just reading.

Private investigator.

This, IT especially. I sneak into the supply closet and take naps and or read

t. never got a job or had someone get him in.
This 'just get an office job bro' is a meme. You need to know someone or have some experience.

Fuck I’m laughing aloud in class. God damn it.

I have an e-book open that I read when no one is around.
I have an office job but I got it because I'm a student (I didn't know anyone)

I work from home, and I bill out my time so I can do work whenever i want as long as it adds to 8 hours by the next day. I spend most my days lifting, reading, cooking. I have some things automated and certain tasks are billed out a standard 1-2 hours that take like 15 minutes. I'd feel lucky except it's not a hard job to get if you spend a bit of time studying.

Youre aloud to download those onto your work pc?

At least in Russia: subway train pilot

it's extraordinarily easy to get hired as a security guard, even if you're an 80 lb female. only reason more wagies don't do it is you have to be drug free.

Lawyer

I work for a statutory agency and it can be pretty dead at my position. Because we're federally mandated management is all about the workers being happy, not about the job, but about their life. So we're encouraged to bring things to distract us when we have no work to do (which is often for me). I read, watch films, make music (just a small synth with an ipad), and currently I'm looking into getting back into school to study a science part-time (I can study at work).

elaborate

Most are paid a handsome hourly wage rather than salary. They still do retail work. Apex wagie.

it's not fucking comfy, it fucks you up mid/longterm to stay awake during the night even ir you get plenty of sleep

Former Supply Chain Analyst reporting in. I used to get into the office early and spend the first two hours writing with the lights low and my music on full blast.

Being a sponge living on government aid. Anything else would just be supporting the government.

I'm doing a paid marketing internship and you could get a lot of mileage of of the conflicted perverseness of it when you're literally a communist.

Pharmacists have to go to college.

And we don't deserve free money :^)

navy seal

>college grads aren't wagies/salaries

Digital marketing manager. Is it wagie enough?

Mech Eng CAD monkey here.

Its not that Yea Forums but I can listen to audiobooks all day in my cubical which will do.

>Sweet Dreams are Made of These reverberated his entire car
>"With a car, you can go anywhere you want"
he said to himself, out loud.

What if something actually happens on your shift? Can't it be dangerous? Aren't you obligated to do something?

You do what I did when there was a roving street fight at 3 a.m. outside my site between a group of Marines and locals. You lock the fucking door and call the police.

But now I'm daytime security. Not as much reading and writing time, but I'm government security, so better benefits, and no more sleep dysrhymia.

I still spend afternoons in the library shelves on slow days.

Not if you're a natural night owl. The only thing that fucks with me is when people don't respect my sleep, because I work nights. It's typical if baby boomer to see it a slazy, regardless of how hard you work or late your shift is.

>but I'm government security, so better benefits

Please tell me how you got this position and what are the physical requirements.

No such thing. The artificial fluorescent glow of signs and lights in burgerpunk land and distraction devices alter the sleep wake cycle. Go to the wild for 3 months and you'll wake up early. It doesn't really matter though, does it? If you have 100% darkness during sleep time and pharaburgist you can simulate the real deal.

got a 2-hour commute every day 1 hour there and 1 back, been great desu ignoring everyone else on the bus while I sit at the back and read

Literally it was work contract security for a couple of years and then have the patience and basic I.Q. to do all the paperwork and certification requirements that the government requires.

There's a lot more B.S. and oversight, but it's still fucking security work, and if I were more heat tolerant and willing to write longhand, I could use more downtime to read and write.

Literally, we're constantly understaffed, and it's a freaking Union job. It just goes to show you that the average security guard doesn't have the brains to pass FEMA cert tests.

what do you do as a mech engineer? is it fun or boring, also do u think a brainlet can suffice at it or does it take a genius to get a job done

I'm 5'7 and 133 lb, but am in excellent physical condition, been lifting and running for 4 years now, I also know some martial arts to incapacitate a guy. Do you think they'd turn me away?

ngl that sounds like shota physique

Working at waterstones or a jazz bar

Rugged guy at a peer. Idk what you'll actually do, but just look sullen and contemplative. Occasionally move an empty netbox.

They don't give a shit about how fit you are and whether you can incapacitate a guy. In fact even mentioning that kind of shit during the interview will get you struck off the hire list.

90% of your "real" job is escorting mentally ill homeless off property, ticketing assholes who think because they drive a nice car they're entitled to park anywhere and checking doors to see if they're locked or opened. What they want is people who can stay (or at least appear) awake and attentive for work that is mostly just walking around buildings or driving around parking lots, and will remain calm no matter what happens.

Being that it's a state job, you can be a 300 tub of lard, so long as you fill the experience pre-reqs, can walk without a mobility scooter, and have enough literacy to pass pointless certification test after certification test.

Think less "cop" and more "DMV clerk who's slightly annoyed you're cutting into his reading time".

Retail, surely, wherein one is surrounded daily with the sad, tired dross of society. First, one falls into coarse elitism, interspersed with periods of depression in proportion to one's hypocrisy. Then, inevitably, as one acclimates to the role, one's condemnation turns towards management, or the upper class, or the elites, or the chimerical "society" which one frames as oppressive, unjust and quintessentially evil, cruelly dismissive and uncaring as to the banal but relentless plight of a victimized and abused multitude, too apathetic to care for themselves. At last, in one's humanity, spite against any, rich or poor, becomes too bitter to maintain, and all the weight of one's own malcontent falls upon itself, forcing us to give way. What remains, or what fills the contrite shell of the man, is pure, sincere, unadulterated love for all humanity, and an earnest willingness to die rather than affront the lowliest imbecile.

Being a substitute English teacher makes me want to end my life, which is pretty Yea Forums

I've worked as a lifeguard for 5 years. You have to deal with people from the lowest denominator of society. It's weird from what I've seen both lower class and middle class patrons are equally stupid, while working class seem to be the only ones that seem to have any common sense or respect. Also I get enough downtime to read.

i do

I'm a pharmacist and I'm salaried. 120k per yr. It's still pretty wagie: dealing with the public, being yelled at by street people/old people, running around like an idiot, continually questioning your place in life, etc.

Once you I get home to my 200k house and my wife, things are quite different. Then I don't feel so wagie.

>compulsory military service
>get assigned to sit in a tower all day in the desert after completing basic training
>middle of nowhere
It was comfy desu

My mom just bought a pizza shop with her old Laotian friend. I am a generic errand boy but delivery is comfy when I can use her car

Nigger I'm 5'5" and I'm an armed security guard inside of a bank. That other user knows what he's talking about, it is so piss easy to get a security job its pathetic. Its hard as fuck to overstate how easy the hiring process is, and how incompetent and braindead the average applicants are. Stop being so anxious and go get paid to read and become a better writer. When I worked 3rd all I did was write and edit.

Postal office clerk

prolly would end up sleping my whole shift if i started to read

Cam girl?

>train pilot
I like this.

yeah but why?

janitor

I started a horticulture based business last year and sell products I make out of the plants I grow. I never have to leave my house except to ship stuff. I worked as a manager at a café to afford all my supplies and bills. Plants are dirt cheap.
I was homeless at 18 but got a shitty retail job and saved up for an apartment. Anxiety got really bad and I quit my job and stopped paying rent and never left my apartment until I was evicted and homeless again. Got another job, this time at a cafe, and got a girlfriend whom i live with and was taking care of while she found a job. Anxiety struck again, I quit my job and started growing plants while my girlfriend paid the bills. Now I sell shit online and make more than I ever did as a wagie doing something I'm passionate about and didn't have to go into 40k debt to do it. I read and wrote poetry the whole time and am finally almost done with my first real, thematic collection. Hopefully I win a contest or something. At the end of the day the most Yea Forums wagie job is the one that you only work because you have to, the temporary one that fuels your real passions. Anything that ends up a career is either not wagie or not Yea Forums

Teach for a fee in prep schools for migrants and native folks trying to get accepted in university programs, as well as migrant doctors. I teach lots of stuff I taught myself and get 44 $ per hour. I work 7.5 hours a week and get 1345$. Gives you lots of time to read and study philosophy.

Based kike.

It's not your fault Will

>tfw actually Egyptian

"Natural night owl" is a meme. Night owls are people who have fucked up their circadian rhythm because of industrialisation and electricity.

Go camping for a week and see how much of a night owl you really are in real life.

>became Med Rec at an ER as a tech after many years of suffering
>working grave shift 12 hours a day, 7 days on, 7 days off
>I am made 90k last year with only an associates
Shiet. I only feel like a wagie when nurses nag me for shit I have nothing to do with because they don't know how to work a fax machine or where certain supplies is kept.

sounds based
you won't go to university for plant biology?

I'd like to add translator in there

What's a pharaburgist

I want a headshot when I go for an evening walk. End me faggots.

Are you Chinese er Japanese?

>What are the most Yea Forums wagie jobs?
Any job can be Yea Forums, depending entirely on your attitude.

>Being a wage cuck
Nigga no, get a degree in self-employment jobs and you are going to earn money as much as you want.
See:

EMT.
>valuable life skills
>sit in a truck and read for hours on end
>get to experience a variety of people in an unfiltered and emotional context

Fireman

I'll be a psych resident in 10 days

My program is big on reading "to understand the human condition"

Yeah dude, no such thing as a "natural night owl". Staying up at night is suboptimal for any human. Look into the neuroscience and genetic underlying circadian rhythms. Some people are slightly less sensitive to unusual wake-sleep cycles, but ultimately humans are not nocturnal and our circadian rhythm is primarily controlled by the balance of hormones and neurotransmitters in our CNS. Human perform better in the day, we're simply not nocturnal, and our circadian rhythm is largely regulated by levels of ambient or background light throughout the day.

I used to do night shift too. I have a salaried position with a real company now but sometimes I’ll do an afternoon shift at a high rise in downtown Baltimore. :3

Nah, I study botany in my free time. I've always loved reading textbooks, even as a kid, and botany is not that difficult of a field to self-study at all. The hardest part of botany is the chemistry, honestly. Everything else is like learning anatomy but for plants. Unless you want a career in plant science there's not much of a reason to go to school for it.
Hot sauce, candles, seeds, cloned plants, fruits, etc. Pretty much anything I can make out of flowers and fruits. I started by just growing plants I liked, making shit out of them, and then hosting a website and marketing it. People placed orders and I went to the post office and sent it to 'em. It's as grassroots as it gets and I 100% entirely encourage any lost depressed user here to look into starting their own small business. It's not hard at all and the USA is made for business owners, if you're American.
The start-up for an online store is the $20 a year it costs me to host it. I mean, I spent probably around $1,000 buying all my supplies but that's still really low for a business startup in which I make over $900 in profit on a 90 bottle batch of hot sauce. I have a big advantage over a lot of plant-based stores in that I'm not a 19 year old white-girl or redditor hippy on Etsy or Amazon. People don't trust those types of storefronts when it comes to plants. Too many scamming chinks selling you jalapeño seeds telling you they're bhuts or something.
