I'm only familiar with Kreia and Black Manta (how the fuck is BLACK MANTA one of your favorite characters?). I'll say that your series is a Star Wars/Game of Thrones rip-off but underwater.
All but 2 of these characters die at the end/get a depressing close to their story, I think that's a big part of why I like them so much. Strength in the face of adversity, for nothing else than being the best you can be for its own sake.
