I shoplift books.

www.bookdepository.com
Free shipping yo!

>he uses libraries and other people's belongings, like a parasite
Libraries are morally abominable

>tfw bought 3 used books from amazon and they still haven't arrived after 40 days

You can barely barely trust Amazon's "very good" condition.
Anything with regular markings on the text is less than good condition, to call it "acceptable" is a stretch.

And free bookmarks!

>he buys physical books

> he reads books

My books almost always arrive earlier than when it says they will

>his identity is based off of the things he purchases
Yikes

do you go to the shoe store barefoot?

>he actually gives a shit about things like this

You wear shoes at all?

how are the conditions of the books generally? I don't see anything about it on the product pages

Mine are generally near perfect, only slightly damaged from the shit delivery guys we get in my area

Finally a man of culture on this board. I shoplift all my books from an english place called Waterstones but all their copies are fucking penguin and im beginning to buy more second hand. But some good theft is based asf and entirely justifiable (if your stealing from a chain) beta boys on this board just dont have the small amount of courage it takes and would rather complain on Yea Forums about book prices. True patrician.

>he buys

Buying used books is strangely comfy

Based

tfw all the books are rfid tagged :/

I buy 95% of my books used, just use one of those book price comparison sites and go from there.
Once you get familiar with the vendors it's easy to buy books that are nearly new for next to nothing.

>buy random used copy first
>go on bookfinder and buy decent-condition first edition for books you really like
some of those older first ed covers are comfy as fuck. some are just too expensive though.

agreed. being in bookstores is just fun, and buying a book is a very nice feeling.

Why strangely?

TFW you buy every single book at local markets for a dollar a piece

Nigger

>look up the last book i read to see how expensive the site generally is
>twice what i paid for my copy on ebay

I get all my books through armed robbery.

This
I buy all my books on eBay. 3-5 dollars per book and free shipping. That and the sales at my local library, 50 cents to 3 dollars per.

I burrow books from the library and then copy them with my printer.

Jesus, that's some bad luck
My books come in a week, max

>and the sales at my local library
tfw the local library only has book sales once a year

>buy a used copy of Dubliners

>frogposting

That sucks my dude. Do you live in a small town? My city has a population of 80k and our library has a permanent store open on Tuesday and Friday.

Because I experienced it for the first time recently.

Jokes on you I went to this today with a giant arse backpack and brought my years stash.
