Pyongyang Yea Forums Meet Up

Many people do not know this, but you can actually book tours here. I myself work as a tour guide and I learned a lot of my English from reading literature, but I don't have many people to talk to about it with. If any of you are thinking about booking a tour here, let me know so you can register with one of the ones I lead. I would really look forward to talking about literature from people abroad. Its a very rare opportunity.

I'd like to live there for a few months.

Post proof and I'll book a tour.

Surely a lot of the travellers read, you dont chat with the tourists you guide? there must be a lot of downtime in hotels etc to get to know them

I'm happy to hear! I think many people in other countries have a horrible impression of here. There are problems here for sure, but also many good things as well!

Most of the travelers who come are actually Chinese. But yes, I have managed to speak to a couple of western travelers about literature. One book that this Australian man recommended me was called 1984, he said most people around the world think that my home country is like the world in that book. So I am curious to read it to learn the impression that people have of us. But also, it is highly banned book here. So it would be hard to get.

What books do Yea Forumserate North Koreans have access to anyway? Post a university reading list.

LARP confirmed. You're on 4channel but not sure if you can find a copy of 1984?

I know that I could pirate a copy, but regulations on computers are very strict here. If I get caught with a digital copy or any trace of one I could get in big trouble. With a physical copy I could just burn it when I finish with it

Use vpn and listen to an audiobook on youtube

Zizek was actually offered to give a talk there but he turned it down.

i banged my tour guide in the middle of the street during the day, nobody was around. ghost town

They read the texts of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and also some native writers and Soviet ones like Maxim Gorky.

I doubt it.

He said it towards the end of this video.

Y'all fucking stupid if you believe this is real.

자유 조선에 대한 생각은 무엇입니까?

종일 리의 탈북에 대한 생각은 어떻습니까?

리 설주는 얼마나 잘 노래하나요?

When you are afraid to torrent 1984 but you have access to Youtube lmao

Definite fraud

He says some exchange students from NK in Seoul wanted him to "visit North Korea". Nothing about being offered to give a talk. Try to stick to the facts.

bro why

لعنة الله عليك واحد منافق

Do you believe in your leader's bullshit? Are you going to be killed for posting on 4channel.org?

What bullshit?

I don't like how people have switched to calling this 4channel

Hero china jin Aw didjoudoo datto ?
Mai neimu isu Honk Kong China mannu, freidu Chikan, hotto doggu, chuwingu gammu, Mista Buraunu.
Ahah kono manko da ahah.

I want to know more about this if true. Even if not true.

I never said it was a government offer. NK students wanting him to do it is pretty big in itself.

They wanted him to visit, not give a talk.

Disappointing and LARPed.
I don't know why I expected anything better.

I have some north korean lit downloaded and a lot of secundary lit on the country's literature, I can send the links to some if you want.
But from what I've found Han Sorya and Cho Ki-chon seem to be the most important NK writers. But sadly, I have not been able to find nothing of the first and only an epic poem (albeit it is his most important work) of the latter.

Here's some links talking about the literary "scene" in NK and literature in their society in general.
