When did Yea Forums become more right wing? I've been browsing here since just prior to the election (and Yea Forums since 2013) and remember it being more lefty politically (though with less of the Reddit homos you find on /his/ and more the sort of irreverent pseudo-anarchist sorts that historically comprised the bulk Yea Forums's userbase).
I can remember around the time of the election that you started to see Spengler threads getting between fifty to a hundred posts, and the same with Mishima (who I came to learn about through one of Jonathan Bowden's lectures, at least, I think I did). But they would always die out for lack of interest.
Now it seems like we have a lot of "right wing" threads that actually gain traction and occasionally even result in good dialogue. Was there an influx when Pewdiepie did his videos about reading? (I don't really follow him at all so I would have a hard time approximating whether or not that lines up with the increase), or is it just that the dissident right is gaining momentum?
If you're a guy and white, honestly even if youre a nonwhite guy at this point, and you're still supporting the 'leftwing' progressive mainstream, you must literally hate yourself or just be forced to play along because your social status will get ruined if you don't. Yea Forums is anonymous and trends towards people who dont care about or have much social status in the first place, so there is 0 incentive for anyone here from that demographic to remain progressive.

It started to turn before the election, as part of the same slow and general reaction among that subaltern "irreverent pseudo-anarchist" stratum against overbearing faggoty SJW shit, especially among college-aged men who don't find it easy to absorb the dogmas of the day and "fit in" first and foremost.
It's definitely not Pewdiepie or even the election. Yea Forums's userbase has drastically increased since the election, bringing in lots of redditshit, yeah, but this only reinforced existing tendencies which in fact began here. Yea Forums was probably unknowingly pivotal in creating or at least crystallising the generalised "ironic right-winger" discourse, which then caused all those redditfags to be right-wing in the first place. Once those redditfags realise they're in an right-wing constellation, they naturally tend to move toward its core, unconsciously looking for older, more systematic, and funnier thought-leaders.
Prior to these changes the board was more apolitical but its basic vibe was determined by its userbase, which was college-aged men who reached intellectual maturity just prior to the problem of overbearing SJWs (especially in college settings) being pointed out and made consciously explicit. Some of them already chafed at the SJW shit without realising it, and a good many of them were sympathetic to it, probably running in college leftist circles, where being a sincere Marxist or Anarchist usually requires that you learn to tolerate the fucking trannies and other circus freaks who show up to every party, along with all the Democratic Socialist-type leftists who tend to be tranny-friendly day-tripper druggies roleplaying as leftists.
All that happened on Yea Forums was that the elements who refused to have their irreverence scolded out of them by normies coalesced with people who genuinely (but latently) prefer "right-wing" ideals to liberal hedonism/individualism/etc., and with trolls who simply hate liberal hedonism so much that they're willing to sign up as Nazis just to fuck with it.
Incidentally, Chaposhit was inevitable, as all the people excluded by this general concrescence (e.g., the aforementioned actual Marxists who would rather tolerate their cognitive dissonance over trannies and normie DemSocs than befriend a neo-Nazi) had to go somewhere. Chaposhit is a weak rear guard action as a result: the impulse to create a Yea Forums-style but conspicuously non-rightist discourse is smart, but it's still undermined by all the normies and self-awareness lacking faggots weighing it down and making it cringey. No, you're retarded. The overwhelming majority of Yea Forums's culture was defined by the technology sector (libertarian whites who threw in with Ron Paul and inevitably ended up disillusioned).
/pol/ was fairly libertarian for a long time even in the lead up to the election (it was obviously a minority position by then, but unabashed Nazism wasn't well-developed beyond Hitler memes, not the way that it is now). You can go look at Stormfront archives, they made coordinated efforts to post pasta to the board in an effort to take it over. This is also around the time that there was an influx of boomers (though that is more attributable to the election than anything).
Lots of boomers were radicalized by WN in the 1990s on the ground level. David Duke himself was a state representative in Louisiana. The economy got better and people stopped caring as much. Then 2011 happened and it was only a matter of time before the motorcycle gangs, wignats, drug dealers, truckers in Eastern Washington, militias, and organized white nationalist groups began to grow. The young people on Stormfront were almost invariably Europeans or Boers (it's a common misconception that WN ideology moves from America to Europe, because we think of the KKK in the American South, but there are tons of organized nationalist groups in Europe, and they started organizing significantly earlier than the Americans due to easier availability of cheap education and the pressing issue of the migrant crisis - these groups were forming as early as 2011). The American posters, by contrast, were mostly these boomers who had been radicalized by groups like the National Front in the 1990s.

define 'left', then. Left-right came from French Revolution thinking - left meaning people are innately equal, right believing in natural hierarchies. Reality demonstrates daily people are not innately equal. Equal rights under the law is not the same thing as equality btw. And certainly not equality of outcome.

Sure. People who are lower class have poor impulse control are kinda stupid, have disproportionately high drug or alcohol problems and lack the ability to plan for the future. Those negative traits are passed through families-a combo of genes and environment. That the left is blind to this reality is why their policies fail. In fact the leaders often know they will fail so they take on posing as a person who can fix these protracted social problems in order to enrich themselves or have a guaranteed career.
When 'refugees' are crossing oceans or traversing a dozen countries to get to the one with the most generous social assistance they are not refugees.

Ive always been decently right wing. But i now have a respect for Mosley, mussolini, and other far right guys after reading their works. The only side i haven't looked into is Japan sadly. I need some recommendations for that to be honest.
