I've never met a single person I liked, respected or admired.

The only people I like, respect or admire are fictional characters.

I admire several historical figures, but everyone I admire is either fictional or has been silently rotting in a grave for the past thousand years

I too have debilitating autism

what the fuck do you bring to the table that makes you think no one is worthy of your respect jackass

Unironically you should have intercourse.

who the fuck are you to question op's superiority, you little shit stain

I am the most important being in the world, that's what.

Where did your abstract delusion of "everyone's equal" get you? Fucking nowhere, pathetic retard.

If you honestly like anyone you know, you seriously have low standards.

Even worse than admiring fictional characters.

How about yourself?

tell me why I should admire bob from the green grocers?

Please just give me the names of those historical and fictional people you are able to actually look up to because i haven‘t found any yet.

Augustus

>cheats on his pregnant wife and tells her to fuck off before his only biological daughter is even born

I can not respect such behavior, sorry user

I like myself ok I guess, I'm not in love with myself but I think I'm an ok guy when it comes down to it. I don't respect myself much, I'm never committed to anything, I'm always thinking too much instead of acting, but I have enough respect not to hate myself. I admire certain things about myself, like loyalty and not being afraid to go against the grain. If nothing else, I can say I lived most of my life so far on my terms, how I wanted. I'm a social recluse NEET and that's the life I chose, even though everyone despises me for it. I admire that part of myself.

Who are the fictional characters you admire most, OP?

OP, from wich movie is that guy?

>Edmond Dantes in Count of Monte Cristo
>Vincent in Collateral/Neil McCauley in Heat
>Nakamura Sawa in Aku no Hana
>The Boss in Metal Gear Solid 3

Conan the Barbarian, the Arnold Schwarzenegger one

Sounds lonely desu, I pity you. You should read more Alexander Pope:
>"to err is human; to forgive, divine".

Yeah yeah, but i can not look up to someone in need of my forgiveness.

there's one person I met and admire greatly, enough to make up for the rest

Nobody said you should, retard.

Nice gets, but your post is irrelevant to the point I was making. If there is literally no one you even like in this world then your standards are simply too unreasonable to be of any use or value. A man who judges and shuts out all has, by definition, literally nothing (for only God can truly judge us). It's not that those you admire also require your forgiveness, its that you won't ever be able to respect anyone if you are unable to forgive them for the flaws inherent to human nature. Misanthropy is the delusion that mankind is inherently unforgivable, but it isn't founded on certainty or even belief, just a pathological need to overlook the good in order to solidify your self-identity.

In order to lower my standards to a reasonable level, it makes notions of respect and admiration worthless.

Truly exceptional people are rare, and from that group, the people you connect with on some level are even rarer. I can't force myself to like people who go against everything I believe in.

I deeply know that feel, op. Do you ever feel actual affection or romantic feelings for fictional characters as well? Sometimes when I see or read about a fictional character from a novel or series that I like, I can feel myself actually get happy, smiling, and I am overwhelmed with fondness and positive emotions toward them. I even have autistic fantasies about dating them, marrying, generally spending time together and having conversations that last for hours just because I’m so fascinated by them. I’ve never felt this way about anyone real, or at least, not anyone even remotely attainable to me.
>tfw legitimate depression from not being able to meet and converse with my favourite fictional characters

I've met one.
And I know about two who are public figures.
Then a handful of historical figures but you can never be sure how much is true and how much romanticism or revisionism

>Daughter

Imagine raising a girl for someone else to marry, fuck, and breed
