life is suffering. i'm an extremely emotional person and aspects of stoicism and buddhism have helped me achieve a certain happiness that i would not have without it.

Buddhism as a region is about the idea of us all having an internal “Buddha nature” that can be brought out through great contemplation and discipline.
It’s ltierally the opposite of nihilism as it provides you with a lifelong goal to reach for

It’s why Hindu threads can garner such good discussions on Yea Forums.
Everyone knows they’re a religion and accepts the faith that comes with that.
Buddhism got co-opted by materialists who latched on to its apparent agnosticism and tried to wrap it around their own beliefs.
