I don't think accelerationist are right, because every eschatology so far has failed. I don't think there will be such a sudden crash or meltdown outside of nuclear war, which will reduce productivity and technological progress, which again will reduce the chance of accelerationist metldown.
And we do not understand AI or intelligence of humans well enough to produce Landian intelligence explosion. Every current Machine Learning technology (hailed as AI) isn't theoretically anything new.
