which country produces the best writers?
Which country produces the best writers?
Probably Russia
A little island in the Mediterranean.in the modern world it has been England of course. With Germany and America tied for third.
Kekistan
THIS
Every fucking time
IT'S NOT 2016 ANYMORE
Germany or Britain no contest really.
>kekistan
>2016
That was 2017 when sargon and the libtard reddit latched on to the "praise kek" meme and made it extremely cringe
I heard about in 2016 when I was complete retard and was also 16. I literally shouted in public praise kek once then ran into an alley.
>i was 16 in 2016
Underage b&
I'm 19 doe
What do you like reading?
History and Philosophy
Like what
I'm Irish so mostly Irish history, Napoleonic Wars, both World Wars and some stuff from Medieval Scotland is interesting.
My favorite philosophers are Plato, Nietzsche (some of his ideas, not nihilism and atheism) and Thomas Aquinas.
Based 19yo kekistanian
Spain
You sound incredibly based and incredibly redpilled.
unironically England
Russia second, France slightly overrated but still third, America fourth
after that we get into the territory of nations with one or two brilliant writers, such as Ireland, Italy and Spain.
ALL TIME:
1. Greece
2. Germanic world
3. Rome
4. Britain (yes, this is kind of cheating to combine England with some of the great Irish writers)
5. France
6. Russia
7. America
In no particular order:
Russia
England
Ireland
Germany
Japan
Nordic countries
How do we reconcile Nietzsche and Aquinas?
>England higher than France and Russia
You guys aren't monolingual right?
Germany. I mean come on its not even al challenge, Goethe, Schiller, Nietzsche Thomas Mann etc.
I have zero fucking clue.
I just follow their philosophies.
America. too much yuropoor cope itt thinking it's still the 19th century
Nietzsche wasn;t a fucking nihilist dipshit. He spent his entire life working to find meaning outside of religion. HE WASN"T FUCKING NIHILIST
He's generally considered a nihilist. IDK.
However I like his concepts on how we enslave ourselves through media.
>muh amor fati
Nietzsche was a nihilist, he was just joking with the rest
My top five would be: France, Japan, Russia, Czech Republic, and Hungary.
Generally considered a nihilist by faggots that haven’t read his work.
Austria
Bernhard and Adolf mainly.
Based desu
>once you read the truth of the gospel you will be converted in your belief
very un-nietzschean of u user
Germany
Russia
Greece
Italy
Tuvalu
My top 5 with favourite writer of each:
1 - France (Jean Racine)
2 - Russia (Fiodor Dostoiveski)
3 - Italy (Dante)
4 - England (Charlotte Brontë)
5 - Germany (Goethe)
Coutries that produced great authors thanks to european mind and aren't in Europe like USA or Japan just are too young to can be considered as good writers producers since they truly didn't made that much
for sure its not german, lol
Croatia & China
I find it incredibly difficult to find full poems from medieval scotland, any tips on where to look? Specifically Gavin Douglas.
Truth is, most countries before globalization.
I never looked into Medieval Scottish poetry.
Are you retarded? How do you form an opinion on something before reading it?
>thomas mann
kek
/thread
>not Schnitzler
>German
All they gave to the world is bunch of philosophical nonsense that just proved how deprived of creativity they are. Faust isn't enough to carry them to N2 spot.
Cope
>4. Britain (yes, this is kind of cheating to combine England with some of the great Irish writers)
Britain doesn't include Ireland, you fucking uneducated retard.
By skimming through Wikipedia articles.
t. Hasn't read Nietzsche
Hungary
Hey fionn
Fine.. the Britain aisles then, god
england did. i don't know if they do anymore.
britain isn't a country, old boy. you'll have to choose, england, ireland or wales (obviously not scotland)
Shakespeare and milton are top tier British writers, hell even George eliot is better than her.
1. Greece
2. Germany
3. France
4. Russia
5. England
6. America
If you think Nietzsche is a nihilist you're a faggot who's never read any of his work. Either that or you're 13.
he said britain, not great britain (which is the island). the irish are britons.
>britain isnt a country
It used to be, now its the UK
great britain was the empire you dolt
Have you read The Gulag Archipelago?
>he said britain, not great britain (which is the island). the irish are britons.
Britain is the same thing as Great Britain. It just means the island of Britain. The Irish are not British. They are Irish. Britain and Ireland are two different islands. They are all collectively known as "The British Isles" however. Great Britain is officially used in contect of the Great British Empire, but now its just the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
are you joking?
the irish are british (hence part of the british isles), obviously that's sometimes in dispute, but as the poet r graves said 'well, dispute it then'. britain can be used to refer to the island group. the term great britain (britannia major) came about to distinguish the island from britannia minor (ireland).
Norway. Not in a vacum, but the frequency of top notch authors from the 20th century is pretty wild thinking about how small the country is.
hello
england has just as rich a literary culture as France or Russia.
Minimum age for Yea Forums is 24.
The USA.
>america
>best writers
OH NONONO OHH NONON OHHH
Right now for me it's France, surrealism and symbolism is my shit.
This list is so fucking garbage. I don't know if this is bait but I hope it is. Not choosing Shakespeare for England is retarded and putting Italy in there only off the merits of Dante is also retarded.
Yeah that's why Canada is called north America not America.
England
Undoubtedly England.
Historically italy. Right now, nigeria
>extremely cringe
you’ve revealed yourself and the thing you hate
any white country
All I know is, it’s not the French
>Germanic world
Fucking nope
>my illiterate shithole can take credit for Milton and Shakespeare by saying “European mind”
Nope
What country are you calling an illiterate shithole?
It sure is white and male here.
eh? england is on there
