I don't have any specific books, but if you look at people through a lens of compassion and sympathy, rather than contempt, you will probably find a lot more sympathy for God. There is not reason to hate existence; after all, you can end it any time you like. To keep living shows that you're curious enough to keep learning about it, even if you learn unpleasant things.
