Other than the protagonist being a white guy, everything else is just standard story elements. I've never read a book where the main guy fetishize Asian women. That's not a literary trope. I've never read a character based book where the main protagonist didn't grow in some way, so "sees the good in him" doesn't apply here. We get it, women can't relate to male protagonists, but that doesn't mean every male protagonist character driven book is a product of toxic masculinity. Don't drag books down because you negatively stereotype men

This is just as trite and unoriginal as the type of story it mocks. It's band wagon hatred, kind of like how everyone decided a couple of years ago that Nickelback was the worst band in existence and never missed a chance to mention it, or how people loudly complained about crocs being for tasteless rednecks. It's an attempt at coming across as someone with better taste but really it just reveals the extent to which the things you think and say are shaped by the majority.
