Is it offensive? No, the Divine Comedy treats Muhammed in an offensive way , but still an incredible work. The Satanic Verses however is written primarily to troll Muslims, so I would not say it is simply offensive, it is specifically troll literature.

Sufism is defined as seeing creation itself as a theophany--if everything was always written, that "writing" is a property of God, which is considered God Himself, hence Creation is a direct reflection of God.

If I am to avert my gaze from women, not think about sex with women who aren't my brides, how am I to know if a woman in a man's family is a woman I may be partnered with?
