With pencil and paper

What the fuck kind of a question is this? Just start writing, idiot

Set it in ancient Greece, but actually the United States
checkmate motherfuckers

>high fantasy
>set in ancient Greece
>high fantasy

Uh...do we tell him?

Write nothing. Only memorize the story and recite it before modestly sized groups of people.

I don't think you know what ancient Greece and high fantasy are.

Otherwise:

Just write a fantasy xmen in greece where the mc is an olympic athlete mutant/wizard

fuck me stop the shilling

If it's high fantasy, then the mythical landscape is more important than the historical one. You need to immerse yourself in how Greece imagined itself mythically. Read Homer first.

Based.

Only Goat Yoga can save us from runaway street shitting.

Go wiki.

Look for a lesser descendent of the gods without an original story. There's about a hundred.

Now start.

High Fantasy tropes:
-defiance of Fate / fulfilment of prophecies
-A Monster whose origin story involves ancestral failure
-The Quest given to a lvl 1 noob who appears mis-speced for the task
-special deux ex inventory item(s)
-stands up to authority in the form of royalty or divinity NPCs
-noob demonstrates qualities of the Ideal at each trial with maximum stylepoints, regardless final result.

Very doable.

Get a good knowledgebase, you're set.

Finish Plato's Critias

High fantasy for tone, using greek myth for material.

Who is your high fantasy tone template?

Start 'em off with a geopolitical joke:
If Russia attacked Turkey from the rear, would Greece help?

It's been done

"High fantasy" is a story that takes place on another world and is not a reference to the level of magic or whatever other bullshit you're thinking of. Your question is nonsensical. If the setting is Greece, the story is taking place on Earth and is therefore low fantasy.

Then just put Greeks on another planet?

Is that a serious question and you don't understand what I said?

>How do I write a... fantasy story
don’t
