What are publishers with really cool, interesting designs for the books, which also have really good titles? The only ones I really know which put out consistently good stuff are Folio Society, Easton Press, Franklin Library, Limited Editions Club, Heritage Press, and sometimes Penguin has neat pressings.

I hear Twisted Spoon Press has some really neat books, but I have no idea what anything they print is about.

Pic related was just released by Folio Society, I picked it up immediately.

Stop treating books like Funko Pops.

Idk what a funko pop is. I like books with nice designs, but I'll buy an old mass market paperback if it means I can read a book which is good. I also won't buy a nice edition if it isn't the right translation. But a book which is a great title in a really nice presentation, that to me is to die for.

Disgusting.

You might have seen my collection in the shelves thread, friend. I'd be happy to post my shelves here, so you can witness for better or worse what I enjoy.

I cannot help it, I am alienated under capitalism from my labor. My apartment is like a fairy fountain in a cave where all my music, beautiful books, trinkets, and plush dolls help me escape from the urban sprawl I live in.

These pictures are not including my new custom made tape-binding copy of Mishima's Sun and Steel which I printed out at my school's duplication department.

you really, really need to get off lit and not just buy everything memed on here.

Well, most of the stuff in my collection is canon or reviewed by Better Than Food Book Reviews. I consider these two things very good sources of good books. And yes, the top 100 chart is influential to me. I enjoy myself. When I finish with these books I'll rotate out the ones I don't want to read again with new ones. I love life, I hope you can the same.

Go on, explain in depth what ails you.

How many of those books have you started but left unfinished? I can see a lot of bookmarks but none over the halfway mark ;)

I started reading when I was 21, I'm 25 now. I've read about 40 books, and I have started and not finished quite a few. But I'm making my way, and becoming a better reader as I go.

robert graves has a poem about finding an emerald green book of poems in the nursery when he was a boy. now picture a child finding a willow green w bright pink swiss design & helvetica font book. books are a form of magic, and you don't make collector's edition magic.

When they start making emerald green poetry books of higher quality than Easton Press I'll pick them up for sure.
