Excuse me? I don't see any link to a /pol/ on my 4channel.org

moot created that place

Unhealthy society leads to unsatisfation with life. The problem with /pol/ is they turn to what they deem as foreign and strange as the cause of every problem.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenophobia

I didn't ask anything wrong.

lack of identity.

Not wrong, just in the wrong location.
/trash/ is the same way. I think it's still here tho

it's not a political group, it's an online image-based messaging board where political perspectives are postulated and discussed, you must be wondering about the significance of some specific group on /pol/

How would one create discussion from that, in a sane perspective

Because 90% of the traffic of this website is hormonal underages pining before the idols - to be /fit/ to be Yea Forums to be /fa/ to be... tfw no gf...

It's the opposite, they force identities onto everything. Everything is about in-grouping and out-grouping on /pol/

Contrarianism

/pol/lack here. I'm told I am the oppressor. Let's say that's true. Why would I act against my own interests? And in any case, power is zero sum. When I give it away to groups I don't belong to I lose 100% of the time.

>I know the REAL reason society is going down the shitter

it's fun

Having to deal with blacks and knowing the etymology and phentypes of names and faces respectively
>the inevitable tryhard armchair philosophy ITT
cringe

see and stop being a neurotic faggot

/pol/ is a reaction to immigration from the Third World. How is this related to literature.

Don't see how that's a problem.

This board isn't only about fiction

>Let's say that's true.
It's not
>Why would I act against my own interests?
Because your ancestors ate from the tree of knowledge and, as a result, you have the capacity to understand good and evil and act in a way that transcends personal interest.
>When I give it away to groups I don't belong to I lose 100% of the time.
You don't lose when you establish trust between groups by the willing relinquishment of power. It sounds sappy but, in reality, no one is hungry for white blood. The articles that maks their rounds around /pol/ are spooks.

And you're a nigger

Well too bad I'm not willing to relinquish power then, eh? I don't see helping randoms just because they're human as moral, sorry.

>/pol/
>political group

Attached: 1556221281146.png (583x482, 119K)

on the contrary, i DONT know the real reason, which is why scapegoating kikes is pointless and gay (and historically tired)

>Well too bad I'm not willing to relinquish power then, eh?
Not really. I said you're not the oppressor. You don't have power, personally.
>I don't see helping randoms just because they're human as moral, sorry.
Is the group of humanity less deserving of your empathy than the group of Caucasians (assuming you are)? If so, why?
But you don't need to apologize to me, just to your immortal soul.

DAS RITE FUCK WHYP*PO

Think about all the double-standards applied to whites, all the failings of neoliberalism, and perhaps you'll realize that "Why aren't there a lot more poltards?" is a much better question.

Have you personally experienced racism or do you just read about it online?

No group is deserving of sympathy by default. I actually don't care about Caucasians either, beyond the biological predisposition humans have to prefer those who are like them(which would be enough on it's own). I just happen to be one and hence political and social developments that favor Caucasians favor me and vice versa.

Imagine saying this to some black kid from an upper middle class family at a good school. You would be in the national news.

>power is zero sum
>doesn't even Nietzsche
>doesn't even Foucault
>on Yea Forums

Lmao I guess.

so the white race is superior, and the moral way forward is to lead the other races out of the darkness?

Have you actually asked a black person this or did you also read about that online?

>considering /pol/ a political group
Most retarded thing I've read all day, /pol/'s a hub for discussing politics not a group or anything organised. Political groups in general exist because thats simply the nature of man and has been something since the stone age (though not labeled as such)

i...i think you agreed with me, user. they have no individual identities, so they attempt to find it in a collective.

Collective identity huh? You mean like...'humanity'?

Attached: 1489248632657.gif (300x300, 438K)

>so the white race is superior
You must have misread my comment if that was your interpretation.
>and the moral way forward is to lead the other races out of the darkness?
What constitutes darkness? But, in general, you should strive to lead yourself, and then all individuals around you, out of the darkness.

Yeah thats why half of /pol/ is spics and lolbergs right?

jews i work with talk about how much they hate white people all the time and there is nothing i can say back to them if i want to keep my job; i am just glad i wake up every morning a stout-hearted aesthetic aryan and not a deformed neurotic rat like them.
my brother's gf is a "fuck wypipo" racially ambiguous chick, always reposting vids on social media of white people getting beat up/shamed in public for saying nigger or some such.
i used to live in a black neighborhood, and while i was mostly ignored a guy pointed a gun at me for parking in 'his spot' (later found out he was a drug dealer and 'his spot' was where his customers would park to go into his house). when i moved he thanked me and acted courteous, probably laughed about it later with his friends. also the gas station at the end of my street got robbed constantly and changed ownership constantly because of it. and everyone was really loud.

>What is the reason for political groups like /pol/?
You're all gonna laugh at me and think I'm mad but it's when geek became cool and easy to ingest/access by the common normalfag and commercialized to the max.

Once that happened + gamerg8 + this bizarre punching down of white nerds in the SJW nerd media that was so desperate for punchman comics and videogames to be art + the realization by stormfaggots and others that they could use idiot nerds for their own agendas, it was kinda of inevitable. The losers lost their identity and fell into this one.

pol was not created by gamergate. I was barely even aware that gamergate happened and I posted on pol all the time back then.

/pol/ isn't a group, it's a cesspool of re*ditors and autists

Crazy how democracy let's Applebees employees become politicians

Your life sounds like a Netflix series, good job.

bro you are saying shit about the tree of knowledge and knowledge of good and evil being some ancestral woo woo shit, as if white people are perfect moral agents and everyone else are savages with no sense of right and wrong that need to be brought into the fold as some kind of moral imperative. this is a uniquely western way of thinking that i frankly find very eurocentric and potentially problematic.

any white person who has spent considerable time around minorities will have similar experiences to me; most of them will view them through some kind of gay dishonest oppression narrative though. i feel safe in america, but i can see how these kinds of tensions might erupt in an ugly way if the economy takes a downturn.

Bootlego Hitler is art sorry (not sorry)

im white and only fuck black girls
white women are blander than homebrand biscuits

One thing that continues to bemuse me is the "Swarmfront" conspiracy. I've noticed a steady flow of claims that state that overt, unironic racism was the end result of steadfast astroturfing from white nationalist communities, namely Stormfront, to forge a new generation of racists and take over the American right-wing. Often, you'll see Stormfront threads cited as incontrovertible proof such coordinated shilling took place. To me, it all belies the long process of political machinations that took place years before and completely ignores the already edgy, contrarian nature of imageboard users. Not only does Stormfront have perhaps a twentieth of traffic imageboards receive on average, the userbase over there is so old, out of touch and permanently wired to the '90s militias movements, so their collective boomerism would've been wholesale mocked by such a young userbase. They really don't have a clue how things work, so I can't imagine them being savvy enough to get into the world of memes.

Racism has a long tradition here and elsewhere. Even though imageboards weren't explicitly right-wing or even right-leaning, several sites participated in Jew-baiting and edgeposting, particularly 711chan and 7chan. Keep in mind 99chan had a very active Nazi board /reich/ long before even /new/ was created. The only left-leaning imageboard between 2008 - 2011 of any size or significance was 420chan. Lax moderation allowed for them to flourish. Unironic racism on imageboards is merely downstream from having a userbase of edgy, contrarian, socially awkward, misanthropic introverts.

As to why the userbases of imageboards has noticeably declined in quality, I recall a copypasta reading that the more intelligent users eventually found productive careers and dedicated less and less time to shitposting, leaving behind a huge swath of undesirables. It is tempting to think that the users with more to offer left for greener pastures and the dregs gradually took over, but there really isn't a single explanation for why the chans are so radically different now than they were then. /cow/'s owner JEWS has a theory, though.
>Imagine you're at the movies with your friends. You have some in-jokes and you rib each other for fun. Then, someone approaches your group with the Encyclopedia Yourfriendsica. He has studied the banter. He pretends that he's been one of your friends all along, using your in-jokes–often incorrectly. When someone makes a joke in a weird way, he corrects him with the textbook definition of your in-joke.
>Eventually, more of them join your group. Eventually, your friends leave, and the group becomes a group of people impersonating your group of friends. The cycle continues indefinitely until the theater goes out of business.

This is precisely why Encyclopedia Dramatica was very controversial between 2007 - 2009. That site was singlehandedly blamed for creating newfags who in turn spread their cancer just about everywhere until the moderators pushed back by banning them. Despite their best efforts, the damage had already been done. By the time sites like Know Your Meme and the like cropped up, the mainstreaming of imageboard culture was complete, and ED looked underground by comparison.

This also explains why /pol/ would eventually get flooded by abject morons. It's no secret the entertainment industry has cultivated the image of the far-right cartoonish villains and fanatics. Of course, you know the score and are in on the joke, so while you may be many things, you're not that crude trope from WW2 movies. You figure you'd poke some fun at the mainstream conception forged by Hollywood, proudly exclaiming, "Yep, that's me, I'mma rape your babies and holocaust your minorities, ho ho ho". You and a group of friends do this specifically to make fun of the stereotype. Then a bunch of idiots think you're being serious. They don't get that you're playing up stereotypes for the purpose of satire. They think you're for real. Ironically, these self-proclaimed right-wingers BELIEVED the Hollywood propaganda whose entire message was to convince Joe Public believe that only sociopaths join the far-right. These "right-wingers" were, in fact, useful idiots mistaking satire for agitprop.

If imageboards had a political conscious, it was certainly Libertarian in nature, but even that isn't an accurate description. In short, Yea Forumstards liked to be edgy, unconstrained by norms and had a dark sense of humor. They didn't like sanctimonious opinions, no matter where they came from.

As an aside, racism and right-wing politics aren't mutually inclusive. Plenty of racist people want nothing to do with conservatism, and likewise, plenty of conservatives find the crass edginess of your average imageboard disgusting.

of course the problem isn't only foreign but it is certainly part of the problem

>As to why the userbases of imageboards has noticeably declined in quality, I recall a copypasta reading that the more intelligent users eventually found productive careers and dedicated less and less time to shitposting, leaving behind a huge swath of undesirables. It is tempting to think that the users with more to offer left for greener pastures and the dregs gradually took over, but there really isn't a single explanation for why the chans are so radically different now than they were then.

that theory is nonsense because it's predicated upon the belief that greener pastures do exist

Absolutely I've experienced it. At my old job in a very 'vibrant' setting I was accused of racism (simply because some victim-card players objected to waiting in a very busy environment) and even threatened with physical harm. That was despite (or perhaps because of) bending over backwards and going way out of my job description to help anyone I could. I also couldn't help but notice that basic courtesies like 'please' and 'thank you' were much less frequent when dealing with non-whites.

Now, I don't really care that much about those personal experiences. It's the ubiquitous double standards against whites that concern me. If I want my country to remain majority white (the people who built it), I'm an evil nazi. Nobody applies such a standard to non-white populations in their home nations. I'm expected to surrender my racial consciousness, any kind of in-group preference or concerns, and feel shame for supposed evils of white men. Any notion of whites putting their own interests first or being angry at handing over our nations to foreigners is thought crime of the highest order. None of that goes for non-whites.

Furthermore, I could easily get myself fired, fined or assaulted if I was indiscreet with even quite milque-toast pro white comments. That's some strong and truly systemic racism in my book.

postmodernity

The fault is upon you for assuming that these rules only apply to one race.

Not enough people talk about the EXTREMELY disproportionate Mexican membership in the American "alt-right"

I was one and once you really examine the shit you complain about you basically are on the cusp of being a leftist and can become one, maybe one thats a little more racist than most though

/pol/ isn't a political group, but the appeal of the extreme right and extreme left is a direct result of issues with the modern world that are not properly addressed by authority figures. If their views weren't fringe, they'd be discussing them out in the open and not on an anonymous imageboard.

Mexicans are largely catholic and don't like black people or have a reason to like jews. You couple that with people who's parents immigrated the right way and care about muh personal simulacra of murrican values watching the waves of hondurans and its not that surprising.

This is Yea Forums, where I come to unwind from /pol/. This thread has nothing to do with literature... I mean you could have asked about Mein Kampf or something but are too lazy to even do that! Off topic thread, where are jannies?
