In 2006 Nick Roche began his IDW Transformers work and now returns for what will presumably be his final IDW Transformers story. With him returns E. J. Su who helped Simon Furman start it all Infiltration #0 all the way back in 2005. IDW presents The Transformers in Last Bot Standing #1.
Transformers: Last Bot Standing #1 Storytime
This shit is full of low effort pages and panels.
meanwhile colors by a gal whose only prior transformers credit was being part of the revolving door of colorists on Tread & Circuits
Reading Bump
Is there a textless version of this? For after Storytime of course.

He just wanted to be friends...
getting Jak and Daxter vibes from the people
This was fun. Glad to have Roche and Su singing us out of an era.
I liked it
what the fuck is that
So this is basically IDW "Old Bot Rodimus"
Moon.
so if you notice the credits say that both Su and Roche are doing the art; according to Roche, he specifically is doing flashback scenes, which means that is the page that he drew this issue
I actually really like his art a lot so I'm happy about that
I guess this is the Transformers thread. So, 4 years down the line, did IDW2 do better as far as pic related is concerned? We’re nearing the end, so I’m curious.
idw trying to replicate the success of the last ronin.
>Stand-alone Transformers story with a cool concept
>Trash execution
Why do I even bother.
Wait what its been FOUR years?!
I've mixed feelings about this, and I'm getting Spotlight Kup vibes with that poor bot. Was not expecting to find Rod where we did. The "oh you have to get to know humans first" was annoying, but the protag was actually likable contrary to expectations. Rod's looking... good? I wasn't expecting him to be so sad and tired though.
Didn't see this thread, thank you!
it's been 3
I hate to say it but honestly not much of a fan of it so far. More than the first half bored me with not-texans and their mundane issues I couldn't care less about, Hot Rod seems to be an asshole and the enemy seems is a looney toon character.
It should have been "spacier" or just more creative, darker or funnier, anything but less mundane. Seriously not 15 pages of OC humanoids discussing trade in wordy bubbles.
And I know this artist had to be the one because he was the first one to draw for IDW etc. but I still think he is nothing special, I wish Roche would have drawn everything.
