I mean she was more affected back in OYL, she was brought back way before webcomic and she more or less behaved the same but less "little shit". And the romantic relationship she had with a black guy was pre-reboot....
The best starting point is Batman #567,continuing with Detective Comics #734, , legends of the dark knight #120, her appearences in Azrael #56-61, Batman #569, after that i'd reccomend the entirety of her first run Batgirl #1-37 (most of the run is collected in trades) which connects to the Bruce Wayne: Murderer storyline, there's her appearences in Gotham Knights particualrly issues #2 #5, #34-36 ,#45-49,there's also the story in the secret files and origins book and the dc first batgirl issue, i'd also reccomend superboy # 85 for the superboy-cass dynamic the Dylan Horrocks run is pretty great too lasting from Batgirl #39-57 (the last bunch of issues are just War games tie ins tho), there's her appearence in Nightwing's book that has a fantastic moment #81 and batman family #7 the Gabrych run is a lot more hit or miss i'd say and it lasts from #58 to the end of the book , the 2008 mini is historically important but its very very mixed, Dixon's Outsiders (1-14) run features cass heavily . Justice League Elite features her at a specific point so i'd reccomend it. In terms of stuff with Black Bat her two appearnces in Red Robin are pretty good, as is the whole of the gates of gotham series. Convergence batgirl has her but in a very very minor role. . Batman and Robin eternal is hit or miss but it features her reintroduction into canon so i'd read it. The entirety of Tynion Detective Comics's run features cass very heavily and in a good role. The following run (outsiders set up) was pretty solid and i'd and the outsiders stuff. Dcseased Unikillabes and its sequel feature Cass heavily too.The recent dc festival of heroes has a really good moment for cassandra. And the current batfamily webtoon has nice moments with her.

She’s with Duke Thomas in her current iteration, and while he was never a new character, they’ve changed him to be even worse now as he’s completely impotent and inoffensive. Like, imagine a more safe version of Miles Morales. It’s just sad to see such a good character wasted on a character who was always shit and is now even worse, especially when her dynamic with Tim was way better… though I guess he’s apparently gay now.

They pushed it a couple times in the webcomic, which was funny because all the other characters they actually treat like it’s a family story except the one black guy. Still, I’m more ate up with the fact they brought him into it instead of Batwing. At least batwing was a token character who managed to pull himself out of it and become cool. Signal was just awful. He was right down there with that one hacker character they tried to introduce back in the day.
