This is an incredibly simple gag. If the husband turns on the fan, its going to spit in his face.

Because he gets more clicks from the fact that the rest of his comics are very vaguely political, so people on one side hate click them and people who the another repeatedly spread them around to piss people off.

I kinda don't get what either of you mean. I don't really get any alt-right vibes from much of his comics. If he makes a joke on a moral position on something it just seems to me he's calling out something that's rather universally shitty.

Like, I don't actually believe Cassidy believes any of the bullshit that comes out of her mouth, she's clearly just saying that shit to rile up people around her. I think a lot of the jokes Jerk makes are funny because everyone knows none of the characters are sincere when they make flagrantly awful statements. Except those times where Cassidy tells the class one of the bullies got herps from their close relation, that's just plain old real-time daggers to the face.

I love Jerk's writing. It's obvious that a lot of these characters get away with their sassiness because they're hot but it's an honest truthful bluntness that most people regardless of attractiveness are unwilling to say.

The thing about the white Trumpers is that they exist among a white lower-middle class America that's been struggling for income security since Vietnam. And all their talking points are just shitty fake excuses out of desperation to put the blame to something ANYTHING because for decades they haven't gotten any real relief or have consistently voted for assholes who never planned to help them in the first place but continue to tell them that immigrants or teachers are to blame, the best example of that is how pensions are being handled in every state but especially worse in Red states. They can't just go out and enjoy a McDonalds probably because they can't afford it, if you want to see better or more articulate examples of that look to the UK where their energy prices quadrupled bills and food prices are skyrocketing. I mean sure, the UK just shot itself in the face to achieve what the USA took decades to achieve, but it's a good opportunity to see what white middle-America looks like. Like for real my town only survives off the grace of being adjacent to a MUCH more progressive and wealthy metropolitan city, the town next over from me that is too far away from that city? That town is fucked and has been for decades.

In a lot of ways some fraction of Trumpers are trying to get by, which is something they have in common with radical progressives who can't seem to stop talking about sex-words.
