The funniest part is that What If...

the funniest part is that What If? shows that you can live in another universe without any risk like Black Widow at the end living in a universe where Black Widow died
Wanda was too retarded and stupid to realize?
there's a universe where she has kids and she died fighting and the kids want their mom, just find America, ask her to bring you there and live your fantasy, instead of going absolute ape mode and losing everything in the process, the Darkhold gives you severe autism?

It's why she is a villain, terminal woman brain.

what the fuck is wrong with her legs here ?

nope. cute try, though.

There would have to be a living version of herself there to possess, or she'd need America's help to get there. And by the time that is suggested, Wanda has decided she needs to steal America's power regardless.

I'm always confused by these posts and suggestions. She outright says in the movie why that's not an option for her.

But why just have one set of kids when you can have them all?

>There would have to be a living version of herself there to possess
there's a universe where she died, she's not there, she can go and live there physically like BW not possessing anyone, and she just needed to ask America to bring her there

Not saying the reasoning isnt retarded but it's literally spelled out during the movie that she want America's power on top of the new set of kids to be able to travel to other dimension if they get a local "incurable" disease.

Also my understanding is that the Darkhold corruption works kind like Frostmourne so even if she could think clearly initially, by the time of the movie she already got corrupted to be insane.

she's sitting

in any other work of fiction talking or even living with your other self destroys the reality
in marvel they interact even with themselves and nothing happens
>B.BUT STRANGE INCURSION!
that happened because Strange was evil and destroyed realities with the Darkhold, nothing and literally NOTHING happens if you live in another universe even if you're alive there, Wanda could have stayed in that universe with the kids at the end and idk, share them with your own self? they would have two moms, Wanda is alone in that universe it seems, doesn't seem too crazy, sometimes I wonder why they take the most baboon ideas, just talk like a fucking person
>HEY, I WOULD LIKE TO STAY HERE BECAUSE I WANT TO HAVE KIDS TOO, SO WE CAN SHARE THEM? I WILL BE A GOOD MOM AND IDK MAYBE WE CAN HAVE FUN AND HAVE A GOOD LIFE IN THE END WE ARE THE SAME PERSON, THE KIDS WILL LOVE THE IDEA TWO MOMS AT THE SAME TIME!
end of the movie Wanda wins and everyone is happy

>Not saying the reasoning isnt retarded but it's literally spelled out during the movie that she want America's power on top of the new set of kids to be able to travel to other dimension if they get a local "incurable" disease
then ask Reed to create a multiversal phone and if the kids get sick just call America and go to another universe for medicine, sounds like walking some streets to the pharmacy and done
seems that everyone just turned off their brains instead of trying to negotiate and went full stupid mode

Darkhold corruption.
Do we even have a Reed in MCU original universe yet ? Bonus question, one that Wanda would know ? Because it looked like that both Strange and Wanda were meeting one for the first time during the illuminati fight.
Again, not saying it's not a stupid reasoning but it's the one given by the movie. As far as excuse for having a comic book villain, combined with the fact that women do get baby crazy, it was good enough for me. Of all issues I have with the movie, this wasn't one.

the movie never outright explains, but drops a few hints: she always dreams of the illuminati universe so she focuses on that one, corruption from the darkhold where she probably wants absolute power, and the ability to travel the multiverse at will to fix any problem her kids might fun into. does anyone remember why illuminati strange got im sorryed? something to do with the darkhold but i dont remember the crime

>does anyone remember why illuminati strange got im sorryed? something to do with the darkhold but i dont remember the crime
He overdid it with the dreamwalking and accidentally an entire universe.

If it's an incursion then it was actually two universes, unless they had to destroy one universe to save their own.

did he dreamwalk to win against thanos? they were all on titan when he was killed

They won because Illuminati Strange used the Time Stone to view the infinite timeline of his universe and found the one, exactly ONE, way in which they win against Thanos, and it involved making certain that Reed Richards didn't tell Thanos about Black Bolt's mouth so he could Reality Stone it away. And by god it WORKED.

Richards couldn't possibly know that Wanda's power is a rollercoaster which lets her fuse your body without you noticing but lets her fight for her life against a shield one minute later. I'm more surprised that the smartest man on Earth try to punch her rather than using one of those funny manacles.

Reed was so useless in this movie

Which was rather the point. Strange kept telling them The Scarlet Witch was the greater threat, they completely discounted her. Their own arrogance was their ultimate undoing. Fitting, for the Illuminati. In that case it wasn't just Reed, the others didn't think she was a big deal either. Of course they were also the Job Squad, so I guess it didn't really matter.

>t. Doom

Monica was hella weak for a Captain Marvel

I think its similar case like Gabriel Agreste from Ladybug.
Initial reason replaced with lust for power.

Like they have a goal, they see the way to get power to reach that goal and eventualy that power itself becomes their goal.
And initial goal becomes just excuse for their actions.

this movie was just one big continuous woman moment

>Wanda is alone in that universe it seems,
Who is the father?

Simon Williams

Along with Mordo she's the most likely to have survived, she she only had a statue dropped on her. Unless they have Cyborg Pants Captain Carter and unspaghetti-ed Reed. And I only mention them since the Incursion that Strange has to deal with is most likely with the Illuminati universe.

Shouldn't that be meant for

Cthon.

>can teleport
>smartest man alive
>but decides he can subdue a reality warper with his hands instead of retreating and coming up with a plan
i swear something happened on the cutting floor with this whole sequence because despite a bunch of fan service it feels very disjointed

I'm not even sure he knew she was a reality warper. None of them took her seriously, and despite the Wanda of 838 clearly having powers we don't know how involved she was in the hero scene in that reality. Plus Wanda is jonesing on Scarlet Witch powers, able to supposedly rule or destroy the multi-verse, so even if they knew their Wanda this was a Wanda on a whole other level. We don't know if their reality has the Scarlet Witch prophecy.

That's about the only excuse I can make for them. They took out Thanos and surely weren't expecting a threat on that level, which included someone practically with Infinity Gauntlet powers without the Gauntlet.

user i liked the movie and reed is allowed to make bad decisions, it just should have been set up more. he was the most sympathetic of the bunch, and after seeing wanda alter someone elses body he should have at least used a gadget rather than resort to his own body powers

>he was the most sympathetic of the bunch
No, that's Charles

Jesus, its the same "But why doesn't Thanos notice the population will go back to the same numbers after one generation? Why doesn't he just double the resources?" bullshit. SHE'S NOT BEING RATIONAL.
Thanos' irrationality came from losing his entire planet and feeling he could have saved them if he'd only been allowed to. Wanda's irrationality comes from a lifetime of trauma, guilt, grief, and loss, and the Darkhold messing with her mind.

You make it sound like that was a reasonable take from Wanda, that she had to kill America because her kids "might get sick someday".

this is the guy that beats galactus not holding back and alongside dr doom regularly beats so called omnipotents, highfathers him losing is due to bad writing.
that and marvel hating white characters.

>i liked the movie and reed is allowed to make bad decisions
And nobody is saying he isn't allowed. The issue at stake is that this is an entirely different universe, so why are you assuming that universe's gender, user? Don't take anything about it for granted, you can only go based on what they tell us. All we know about Wanda in that universe is she's a homemaker and the Illuminati doesn't consider her much of a threat.

From a more traditional perspective it would arguably be Reed, since he's a family man, but per what the movie showed us his sympathizing with the movie's hero definitely should make us value him more and feel worse about his loss.

>Wanda uses the Darkhold
>goes flying right off the deep end and slaughters thousands with zero hesitation
>Dr. Strange uses the Darkhold (and asks his ex to take care of his body in case something goes wrong, very smart and responsible)
>possesses a dead body, wrangles undead spirits into doing his bidding, gives a mutt a peptalk so she can control her powers and gets a cool third eye
Why didn't the Darkhold corrupt Dr. Strange?

An incursion seems so vague that it just seems like "nanomachines" or "the speedforce". A made up word that the writers can use to justify anything they feel like. I wouldn't bother thinking too much about it.

>Black Widow at the end living in a universe where Black Widow died
What

Slight counterpoint, the reason Strange and America are locked and sealed so securely by the Illuminati is the potential for diseases exclusive to their universe. Like eurotrash giving indigenous people smallpox.

seethe femoid.

What happened to Black Bolt?

Wanda was already evil. She had already held the town hostage before being influenced by any evil magic.

Less trauma in his life maybe? He had a better understanding of what he was messing with too.

She was a lot closer to the edge, even arguably already mid-fall off the edge.

And we don't know what fucked up consequences Strange may suffer from this. The third eye is just the first symptom.

got, uh, "mouthed off" and accidentally imploded his own skull

It was heckin' cute and valid wasn't it?

That sounds extremely painful.

For you

1. It wasn't Monica, it was her mother Maria, presumably in the 838 timeline it was Maria who got sent on the experimental flight instead of Carol while Monica would've been a child back then.

2. Captain Marvel was holding her own until Scarlet Witch drained the Infinity Stone energy out of her, that's why she got killed just by having a statue dropped on her.

Shouted his own brain to the shout dimension.

Wanda 838 is just a mid-tier telekinetic and telepath. She's on the same power level as the Wanda we saw in the Civil War, the one who got knocked out by War Machine and locked up on the Raft. She isn't a reality warper powered by an elder demon god like 616 Wanda. It makes sense they wouldn't consider her a major threat and assumed she could be easily contained or neutralized.

It blew his mind, how pretty Wanda was.

her thighs look non-existent though

I understood that reference.jpwg

but they DID know super wanda would be controlling her and when she reality warps your friend right in front of you the strategy should change. you would also expect less standing around

The demon who gave her powers seems to have made sure there are no alternatives for her.

Chthon wants power so Darkhold gives Wanda a reason.

BOOBA
