I liked the first and second game. My favorite was actually the vampire dlc, I ended up playing that longer than any other game (at the time)

I never played the game with the other guy. How was it?

>infamous
Love it. Currently doing my evil playthrough in Second Son.

I am crossing my fingers that the rumor that we are getting a new one is true

Cole was great but whatshisname was not. The problem with the reboot was lack of focus in powers. Do one thing great instead of 4 things half assed. Cole's electric powers were versatile as hell and fun. The other guy's were not as well thought out and situational. Also what the fuck is "video"?

Also is this series just dead? It was one of SONY's leading IPs. What happened?

It's kind of a soft reboot
The first and second game did happened, but it's rarely brought up in game (outside of a dlc where zeke shows up).
Sucker punch was working on ghost of tsushima since 2014 and they like small teams

The only problem I have with Infamous is that alot of people were too ready to not have Hot Water and steady supply of food anymore. Like New York is locked off and you still see people driving cars and walking around

I think they wanted to more creative powers like paper and glass instead of the more wellknown elemental ones

Fun fact
Glass was one of the planned powers

infamous 2 is my favorite.

the vampire dlc(I think) was really really weird

You could literally replace Cole with a random person and it could be it's own game

Yup That’s why I mentioned it.
It would have been cool to have glass shards thrown at enemies..
and we would get the answer to the age old question “Glass v. Concrete. Who would win”

>glass shards thrown at enemies.
Jesus that's horrific.

I get it in a sense of video game violence but fucking glass is scary. My uncle got stabbed with glass on his foot and is still convinced there's some glass in there, but unfortunately the x-rays can't pick it up.

How is this Yea Forums?

A lot of the story is told in comic book fashion and it has a comic.

Had a few comics

I think they dropped the ball with Kessler and the First Sons. Both were really underexplored

I fucking love these games. 2 is one of my all time favorite games and Cole is one of my favorite protagonists. They need to stop fucking around and re-release or remake the first 2 games for the ps4/5
>I never played the game with the other guy. How was it?
Pretty fun, though not as good as the previous game. The different powers were neat, but obviously not as fleshed out as electricity. Concrete was clearly rushed. Delsin was... ok as a protagonist, but he just wasn't as engaging or fun as Cole was.

Fun to play but absolutely fucking retarded story that wraps itself in the metaphor, the worst part of the X-men franchise in the last two games

2 broke me as a kid, played the first one through a couple times, and when I got to the bad end of 2 Where you had to kill Zeke, I actually started crying cuz I had grown really attached to him.
It was pretty good, some of the powers had some interesting mechanics I liked messing with, personally think there was a lot of missed opportunity with not doing an expansion/dlc(with the protag of the game, not some prequel for a girl who acted like a cunt all the time and I could give less of a shit about)/another game. Overall, interesting, and worth a play if you can find it cheap or pirate it, but definitely not as fun as the first two games.
Not exactly sure what the current predicament is with Sly Cooper, I've heard they loaned the rights, but i've also heard they sold it, but apparently management is a huge problem at Sucker Punch Productions, that it is the cause of a big turnover rate, the reason why Ghost of Tsushima was so delayed was because management kept changing the shit that had already been developed, causing it to be redeveloped. Hope they get their shit together.

Where the fuck did the superhero sandbox games go?
look at all this superhero/anime powerwank and DB threads yet no more current games where you can fuck about the city and cause mayhem with fun powers.

Replaced with Ubisoft styled trash

The very first asscreed and the second game were fun and had cool traversal mechanic back when being an assassin was fresh and cool.
I remember the people around you reacting to the character parkouring in a way of: "Are you insane, you gonna kill yourself, stop it you moron".

Good times, watching the series trend chase and turn into whatever the fuck it is now was a wild and sad ride

Love it.
Some of my all time favorite games.

>What happened
Sucker Punch was busy making another extremely good game, Ghost of Tsushima.

>Glass Him.jpg

We aren't talking about the comics.

These are the only 2 posts about them.

>fire, electricity, concrete
This is fine.
>glass
Jesus that's horrific.

Augustine alredy does that type of stuff but with glass it would be 10 times worde

wish the ip wasn't dead. first game was great, second game was okay, second son wasn't the best but still enjoyable.

Prototype, too.

>fire, electricity, concrete
Okay user I'll take all this stuff seriously.

Fire is basically a flamethrower so no I wouldn't want to get hit with that.

Electricity, depends on the voltage. But for gaming sakes let's say it's enough to kill you, I'd rather die of being shocked than burned alive.

Concrete, I've done some odd jobs and had to break up concrete. So it all depends on the size of concrete getting thrown on me. I still don't think it's as fatal as the other two. For example if a huge slab of concrete is coming at me, and I can hide under a car or something the car will take the bulk of the concrete damage.

>It was one of SONY's leading IPs
Sony is notorious for abandoning IP's after a console generation or two. You could fill a graveyard of the abandoned ps1/ps franchises.

>Sony is notorious for abandoning IP's
Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 were each the peak of their respective franchises. Quality in SP and MP nosedived afterwards. Fuck Motorstorm 2 was fucking epic racing online, imagine if we had a Motorstorm entry with modern racing game QoL stuff.

TL;DR
Looking back at a lot of Sony's IP's on all generations most of their 1st party games degrade after the second entry being the outstanding one.

Always felt that Japan Studio played Infamous 2 liked the feel and that's how we ended up with Gravity Rush.

Love 1 & 2
Never beat native american-famous but it was ok

The problem was, because of most of the fanbase choosing the good ending at Im2, the creators made ss follow up on that and not on the bad ending, as their original idea was. It'd have made more sense and would be more interesting.

Second Son probably would have gotten cancelled today because the two native american main characters were played by white people.

Second Son was mostly up to par with the other two games but had an underdeveloped power system and limited side content that was copy and pasted dozens of times to fill out the world. Continuity is also kinda fucked from InFamous 2.

Never played Second Son, didn't it drop the User Created mission creator from the second game?

is ghost of sushi good? I've liked pretty much all sucker punch games, so they definetely have the pedigree, but i'm burned out on open world games

>What happened?
sucker punch moved on

Exactly what I thought of when we were talking about "Glass Lass" from those Honey Bee threads

Yeah which is a good thing
Still a crap game though

>is ghost of sushi good?
Very good.

Talk about comics or cartoons or fuck off

Kessler was in the comics, you wannabe faggot mod

Now go and post this in the 7 doctor strange thread since that is a movie, ok?

InFamous has comics that expand the story. Impossible to talk about them without lso talking about the g-games.

Describe Cole's personality

It's kind of hard not to beat it
Even on expert it's pretty easy, and if you ignore all the side missions and most drones it takes like 5 hours to finish

There's very few games that scratch my messiah complex like it. Allows for a bunch of heroic situations to arise organically, like trying to draw away the fighting from crowded areas/explosives to avoid civilians getting caught in the crossfire. You're very difficult to kill, so I always felt like I was racing against the clock to either take out enemies before they could do any damage, or holding off big groups until the area was cleared and I could "remove my limiters" and unleash the full scope of the AoE powers to turn the tables. Being able to actively rescue and heal regular people at the end of fights (or sometimes right in the middle of the crossfire to keep them from bleeding out) was the cherry on top of the power fantasy.

Easily one of my favorite cape sims.

Protagonist of a sandbox video game

Dependent on the player but overall laid back and apathetic until he got powers

He is polarizing

Attached: eb3cd9ba8ae29f6d5622aa5c5aa05c19.jpg (1355x1920, 362.32K)

(you)

electrifying personality

He's got magnetic charisma

are there any prototype comics ?

Yes, infarct it explains why Alex is evil in 2. Something the game never tells you.

Are the infamous comics good or are they just meaningless filler?
