I did hear the Venditti Man of tomorrow book is good, no idea about Red Room Though.

I remember a few years ago I would have to drive around to a few stores to get all the comics I wanted.
This year, and last year, the overall selection seems reduced. Not only that, but I find there is...not really many appealing titles anymore - though that falls into personal preference.
I don't like capeshit so all that is out, but as for everything else offered, either the art style is awful or the story just doesn't speak to me.
The one local shop nearby me keeps upping their giveway amount. Used to be you were allowed 2, then it was 3, then 4, now you could take 5 this year. I wish I had that option a few years ago! I only took the two that caught my eye, the Sonic one and the Max Meow one.
Perhaps I'm getting too old for this shit, considering gas is almost 2cents a litre where I am, it wasn't even really worth the trip.

His Superman is quite enjoyable.

Red Room is alright. Very silly but I enjoy some of the stories.

I was able to get most of what I wanted, but my comic shop was missing Rocketeer. Does anybody know if that was was good?

I skimmed that one, it was just a couple of pages (about 5-7) of the recent issue of Sonic and Tails meeting up with Knuckles on Angel Island and the Hydro city joke. Then the rest was filled with recap and fan art/editor's section. A real bore. If I had known it was a nothingburger issue I would have gotten something else.

Sounds about right, but I still want it anyways, especially since trying to get it through official means has been nothing short of a bullshit experience (Had to pay for an issue just to get the checkout to work and then the reader doesn't work)

FCBD 2005 was the best FCBD year ever that's when they reprinted/gave away for free one of Carl Barks most best stories, it was Uncle Scrooge "Only a Poor Old Man" and I am so happy I got it for free back then. Especially since the orginal comic was valued in mint condition at $1600 these days of course it's far more expensive, but if you happen to have hard cash then tracking down the orginal comic is definitely worth it.

I just got back. I bought a comic half off. They put a lint of 3 free comics per costumer. I wasn't aware Free comic book day sold boxes, the couple in front of me got a carnage and Spider-Man, the Spider-Man box specifically said free comic book day.
