Considering movie sonic tried just keeping him stuck in a shitty dimension and that STILL didnt keep Robotnik from coming back and chasing his ass, I think anyone in his position would be fine letting Doc die in a fiery blaze.

Yeah, but IDW Eggman was suffering amnesia and not hurting anyone until Starline came.

Also are the movies good? I haven't seen them.

Sonic "Put You On The News" Wachowski

Don't care that's not IDW's biggest problem by a longshot.

The movies are amazing. This is coming from a game fan btw.

>He didn't kill him, he just didn't save him.
Just like his hero, Batman

>Sonic "X'ed" Wachowski

he'll be ok...right?

The really funny thing is that IDW Sonic doesn't have any friends or family or any kind of support group that taught him those principles, since like all Japan-approved Sonics he sprang fully formed from the ground one day and immediately started fighting Eggman.

Easily the best videogame movies made so far. I know thats not a very high bar, but still.

IDW Sonic
>for neckbeard westoids
Movie Sonic
>for an international audience where pajeets and chinks have a stronger understanding of right and wrong

Stone was inside the mech and survived, so yknow...
>BUT JIM CARREY SAID...
yes, that he was going to retire, he didn't say he still had a contract for Sonic 3, nor did he quite say it was a full indefinite retirement

SEGA has an iron-clad grip on IDW Sonic and won't let them do anything crazy after the Archie Comics debacle.

The movies are their own things and have made record numbers so they get leeway. Plus, they don't know if Carey will come back for 3, so this is just to write him out just in case.

Stop spoiling Sonic the Hedgehog for me!

Sonic "if you mess with my family, you're expired" Wachowski

Not to mention he seems genuinely passionate enough to forgo his "no sequels" rule and even outlined a story for a tie-in comic.

While I like the IDW series I feel like the ambition of the Zombot arc has been it's downfall.

How do you go from Eggman causing a zombie apocalypse and nearly ending all life on the planet to him back in his silly gimmick mechs snarking it up with Sonic afterwards? It's such a radical tonal dissonance that might work for like a game-to-game scenario, but in a continuous narrative that flows smoothly into the next story it's just jarring

>SEGA has an iron-clad grip on IDW Sonic and won't let them do anything crazy after the Archie Comics debacle.
Not even sure about that. They seem pretty hands off with original ideas as long as they can be easily ignored in future stories.

The movie and torrents of it have been out for a good while now, just watch it dude.

He has a nephew who is into the series.

No to mention Sonic 2 carries the title "Highest Grossing Film based on a video game franchise / character", and he is the "face" of the Iconic villain of said franchise.

after 4 weeks it's "fair game"

Is there any reason to watch this thing besides it featuring Sonic and some Sonic related things.

It is a good superhero film with the charm of a good kids film as well

True, but you notice that it's in the comics where Sonic and Friends aren't around (Tangle and Whisper, Bad Guys, and Imposter Syndrome) that you see them really flex their muscle. They're chomping at the bit to do something big, but Sega won't let them.

If pic related teaches us anything, a villain can be buffoonish and still be a massive ruthless threat.

Skip the wedding scenes though.

Not really

Not really they are pretty safe when it comes to ideas.

>SoR post credits scene
>James Marsden is sitting with Sonic on the couch
>"No way that's true. Mr. Small Town Cop a big ciry tough guy? Come on!"
>"What can I say? You're not the only one with a trick up your slee-"
>Door gets kicked in.
>Blaze and Adam.
>"Steve... he's back."
>"We need Axel Stone."

My exact feelings

Fuck I meant Tom

RESPECT

It can be funny in moments. Specially when it comes to Knuckles

There’s just something about Idris Elba as Knuckles that just cracks me up, like the very concept is hilarious.

And it's gonna happen AGAIN.

IDW's story loop is seemingly every few years Sonic's mercy bites him in the ass

Why do they do this retard shit? No one in real life acts like this outside of religious extremists. Why is it so prevalent in fiction?

Calling it now
>sonic 3
>starts with Eggman falling
>he found some of Sonics warp rings back in Siberia
>uses 1 to escape while falling

This was a kino moment

Can't decide if I should get the torrent or wait until May 24 for a better torrent

Serious question, where did Sonics love for chili dogs originate from? I wanna say archie comics but it's entirely possible it's from before them.
>inb4 Penders is summoned because of vague not Enerjak and sonics love of chili dogs

It's because Eggman hurt his boyfriend

captain marvel in thanos ship endgame lookin ass. super saiyan using all the infinity gems

No. The movies are dogshit. People like them because they're Sonic, and totally ignore that it's an awful adaptation of the character and property. The scripts are full of holes and you have to turn your brain off to even pretend what you're watching is bearable. It's Michael Bay-tier mindless Hollywood garbage with tiny nods to the games peppered in that somehow tricks zoomers into thinking what they're watching is respectful to the source material.

But hey, you'll probably like it if you're anything like 95% of people. Give it a shot.

The fact that Knuckles is genuinely naive and not stupid in the movie, and Knuckles being a threat, is what sells the character for me.

I paid money just to see Sonic and Knuckles fight, and then for Super Sonic to basically one-shot the Death Egg. I am okay with that investment, because I want to see big fat bat tats in high resolution in a Cinemark with my girlfriend.

>idw sonic
>let metal leave which triggered eggman's memories
>after metal virus, had amnesia in the sol dimension and returned to find eggman trying to kill everyone
>beats him
>let's him leave and acknowledges he'll have to stop him many times in the future

how did you get a gf?

Why doesn't Sonic just rape Eggman?

We shared common interests and I had a willingness to participate in things she enjoys doing that I don't have a particular interest in. I also give her advice on problems without telling her what to do so she has independence and instruction simultaneously, and am patient with her when she makes a mistake and apologizes for being stupid.

>Also are the movies good?
2>1 but even then 1 is still pretty good.
Just remember these are kids movies so expect a fart joke each.

To be fair, movie Sonic is sick of Eggman’s shit. Usually Eggman will have an evil plan and Sonic interferes, but all this Eggman does is fuck with his Sonic.
>Spends the first movie trying to chase Sonic, kill him, and take his powe
>In the sequel comes back and IMMEDIATELY shows up at Sonic’s house, threatens to kill his adoptive parents, then sicks on him Knuckles, a guy who spends the movie mopping the floor with Sonic
>When they meet again, Eggman almost kills Tails
>Then when they meet yet again, Eggman almost kills Knuckles after mocking him, then becomes a god and immediately plans to take over the universe
At the point Super Sonic arrives, Sonic’s tired of Eggman. He’s not going to kill him outright, but fuck Eggman.

Their Avengers needs to be Shin Megami tensei, imagine Sonic and Sega characters fighting religious figures

The first movie is a lot better than it had any right to be. One of the few “creature stuck in our world” movies that manages to feel soulful. Also Carrey is surprisingly good as Robotnik, and the side characters actually compliment Sonic well.

The second movie has a few issues here and there, but I think it’s better than the first one. Easily the best version of Knuckles, really great fight scenes, and overall just a really fun adventure movie. One of the comic reliefs, Rachel, gets way too much focus in a really useless, drawn out scene, and the dance-off isn’t good, but outside of that it all works.

The main thing is that it’s obvious the people involved like Sonic, and really want to make movies about his journey into being a hero. The films give him actual development.

That really bothered me. It’s not like Eggman just did some silly scheme, he almost ended the world. And now you let the guy who almost ended the world go so he can try again.

>I'm going to die.
every time.
