Gotta say, this has been a nice little series. Wonder how far ahead they planned for this season. I know Season 1 changed midway through enough that they went back and redid the first few episodes, but it came together better than I expected.
My one hope is that it goes deeper into Tari's reaction to knowing the truth about herself and Lucinia. Sure, it was an obvious twist and she had a suspicion for a while, but the reveal was just kinda tacked on at the end like it was no big deal to anybody in the show. At least Sheridan setting Masa up to blow Lucks's brains out made up for the missing shock factor, but still.

I’m hoping they can tie up all the loose ends in a satisfying way

Seeing how soon the season is coming, they might be keeping more of it a surprise for when it airs.

I’ve warmed up to this teaser now

Not sure why the focused almost entirely on Skybreakers, but it’s a nice hook

From the looks of the description, it may take up most if not all of the game-related half of the series. On the one hand, that does sound like a letdown because it's always been fun looking at the different genres and visual styles they pick for every season. But on the other hand, it looks like it could be a massive open-world game in the same vein as Breath of the Wild. So after sprinkling three or four smaller games across two seasons each, devoting an entire season to one ginormous game makes sense.

Also to be fair, it’s not like MD-5 can be involved in that many games, what with being fugitives and all

This could either be like The Undiscovered Country or Rise of Skywalker

I was figuring if they could do a one-shot special. Not just to resolve Whisk's subplot, but maybe to bring over some of Meggy's copyright-friendly friends from home.

Unlike The Rise of Skywalker, at least this show has plot threads left to pick up from last time.

Considering how tall she is compared to Auri and the rest, it's easy to take for granted that Meggy's still only 5'2".

This series will have put out all 28 episodes of its story in the time it took Hazbin Hotel to even reach two episodes

Seeing Tari with a new game-world look (not counting the robot Tari modeled after her old concept drawing) makes me wish she had her SMG4 design in Theo's game, rather than just for a one-scene cameo. It would have absolutely fit the aesthetic, and it would've been neat to see the model fully animated and voiced beyond the usual GMOD stuff.

Well sheet. I knew about that other guy who made an enhanced Meggy model that wound up officially replacing the old one after Sunset Paradise ended, but not this. And now that I see that this guy made his own enhanced Tari model, I'm wondering if they'll do the same here.

Pretty interesting stuff

This reminds me, when SMG4 introduced Saiko Bichitaru, she looked a lot like she belonged to the Meta Runner universe in S1, and that was under a year before they revealed the show. I'm guessing that could've been a product of MR's development.
And now that Skybreakers Tari looks just like Melony, it makes me think about whether or not they meant for it when they came up with Melony's design.

I'd assume not, considering this is her concept art.

I hope Luke and Kevin will find a workaround. Especially for Belle, who's even worse off what with being arrested. I felt she was sidelined in S2 when it came to gaming action, controlling Theo more than anything else.

So are going to get actual world building this season?
The low-tier district last season was a start, but still not that much

It's kind of a weird coincidence they stumbled into the first SMG4 story arc just months before they were ready to reveal Meta Runner.

Anyway, share some hopes for season 3. Personally, I want some satisfying answers to the mysteries surrounding Sheridan.

Maybe a bit more light on Lamar. He's the only hero we know nothing about when it comes to his past with TASCorp. But at this point, it might be too little too late with the company already belly up.

I'm glad these guys got to make a show, let it run for a couple years, and (as far as I know) end it on their own terms.
But beyond this and Murder Drones, I have no clue what's next.

Between this old roadmap and the channel trailer, there are definitely a few things they've got that haven't seen the light of day yet. I'm assuming the show with the headphones logo got shelved to make room for Murder Drones, so I'm expecting they'll pick it back up sometime this year, even if we don't hear about it until next year.

I'm pretty sure they're ending it not because of any funding issues, but because this is just the end of the story they want to tell. No reason to stretch it out any longer.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder what became of it. The crew definitely planned on showing more one-shots and pilots. But what's weirder is the stuff with Whisk. I figure her footage was made to misdirect people from learning she would be a supporting character in Meggy's show, but lately I've been thinking she could've been made for a separate show or short that they canned so she could appear.

The one with the hat looks the most like Meggy. Reminds me of how Melony started out as Meggy's replacement back when she was but a mere watermelon in a beanie, first when Mario got ditched on Christmas (don't worry, they all came back), then when SMG3 planned to take over the show.

Wow, it never occurred to me that they funded Murder Drones on their own.
It's really nice to know they can sustain themselves without relying on grants.
