There was too much of a gap between Wandavision end and the start of this film. At the end of Wanda Vision she is just looking for Bill and Tommy. Here she is super kill mode.
WV ended with her recognizing Westview was wrong and taking down the hex even though it ended her while family.

How do you go from that to trying to kill a 15 year old girl ? You can't have leaps that big off screen.

It's clear they went from a cliff notes of WV and didn't actually watch it.

Getting stronger over the time off screen isn't the same as character motivations changing . If we just saw Wanda knowing Darkhold spells that would be one thing but she went from chosing people over her family at the end of Wandavision to killing hundreds in Dr Strange
