Ascetic

Uncozy

Forgiven. That's a beautiful bedroom

>cluttered
Nah

I don't know, sometimes going to a white, sterile store or 7/11 at night is pretty cozy.

I'm the leatherbound Reader's Digest Condensed books

does this count?

The curtains really shouldn't go like that

bonus points for cats

this is a local second-hand book shop, there's cats sleeping on the books sometimes as well. it's really a wonderful place, and it's really cheap too

Attached: voltaire.and.rousseau.jpg (630x472, 70K)

I find Ascetism unironically comfy, living like this guy is my goal. A carpeted floor, a matress, a laptop and ~2000 books and I'd be set for life.

Attached: 1200075935626.jpg (1600x1200, 665K)

It's probably a book store. Looks like Shakespeare and Company.

I was in a bookshop like that once in portland.

>minimalist
>library

fucking based

favorites
horrible

>candles in the fireplace
what did he mean by this

maybe the house's chimney was removed by the previous owners

I know what you mean.
It's cozy in the same way as neon cyberpunk stuff and Blade Runner aesthetics.
But ultimately shitty in the long term.

Attached: Norilsk.png (877x624, 560K)

Imagine the smell.

It still looks kind of retarded

this is umberto eco's library, for anyone curious.

Damn, I can't believe that's a personal library.

>imagine going on a date with this guy and then tightly pull my panties up as i enter his apartment

user, ascetic living is good, but it should be paired with a minimal aesthetic sense

I went to an airbnb apartment 3 weeks ago and this was the library.
It‘s where the owner of the house lived. He literally had his bed in the library and told me that his dream had always been to live amongst books. He was an author, but i hadn't had time to ask him what he was writing.

Attached: DF9FF055-71A9-4271-8960-98CC7D8E8573.jpg (914x750, 873K)

You can even see the bed frame on the right. The room with the bed was stuffed with books on the floor.

Well, no one on Yea Forums has a profession demanding any of the shelves or stacks posted here either. Maybe she just likes books? She has the financial means to support a personal library, if that is what she wants.

Great picture. I guess this is clutter as a result of compressing your life in order to make cheap bucks off net tourism.

Also, the fuck is on top of the cupboard there?

Taxidermy bird

Honestly, i‘m pretty jealous of the owner. I want to live his life. Sleeping amongst book, writing and making money by renting out rooms in your 400yo house.
Pic was my bedroom.

this is my dream too, when i will have my own appartement for sure... :-)

Bob loves you.

Cluttered and "cozy" is peak bugman. I'd rather have something like this

Attached: 700_qbhoeb08.jpg (700x933, 97K)

>love cozy, cluttered rooms
>have severe dust mite allergy
At least I can pop a benedryl to go to the comfy bookstores in town but my home stays tidy and my books are behind glass

fuck this is so nice. i love van gogh.

Hey I live in Stuttgart. That's a nice library but the elevators are shit. They only have two and one is broken all the time.

i have a couple wallpapers that are similar. posting 1/2

Ideal

What is that cat thinking?

Maybe buy some furniture you lunatic

Buying things directly supports our oppressed state of being. It will only set us back.

>choosing that other this
>bonus: choosing that over this as an eco-faggot
Haram.

Where did this "let's paint literally everything white" meme come from? It looks terrible.

Half of these are claustrophobic shitholes.

>Is the cameraman done?

ordinarily I hate sorting books by color but this is a good vibe.

>gee, I hope my owner doesn't attempt a really dumb political coup and then kill himself out of shame

Lol.

It's harder to determine specific books when you do it that way though.

The coup was a means to a suicide, not the goal.

How about the utter failure his sudoku was? His friend had to finish the job.

Attached: DwfoZC4VsAA5DJ4.jpg (596x513, 29K)

Space ones would be awesome

Attached: unknown.png (1196x120, 56K)

How does he get out without reading all the books?

Tuna would be nice today, but some wet canned is okay too I guess, since I got tuna yesterday, maybe he will pet me after tuna, or wet cannned is okay too, did I eat this morning? Tuna would be nice right now, but also I got that yesterday, wet canned would be okay, nice piece of fish today, maybe, tuna would be nice right now

somehow your pic gives me panic, imagine if the second floor collapses above the first ...

It’s not...
>The writer Umberto Eco belongs to that small class of scholars who are encyclopedic, insightful, and nondull. He is the owner of a large personal library (containing thirty thousand books), and separates visitors into two categories:
>those who react with “Wow! Signore professore dottore Eco, what a library you have! How many of these books have you read?” and the others — a very small minority — who get the point that a private library is not an ego-boosting appendage but a research tool.
>Read books are far less valuable than unread ones. The library should contain as much of what you do not know as your financial means, mortgage rates, and the currently tight real-estate market allows you to put there.
...
>read books are far less valuable than read ones.
I mean I can see the appeal, Basically he is creating is own bookstore/public library so he can have access to something right when it Spurs him or is referenced in something else he is reading, a nice idea, but most books, and the beauty of books over other media is it is a complete thought from a single mind, and just jumping around in books not meant to be jumped around in seems a waste

How do you guys manage dust on your libaries? Do you use a feather duster or point a vacuum tube near the selvels

I agree

Why would you ever waste time making a bed?

here is ecco's personnal library in Milan (30000 books)

This. Enlighten us, brothers

I prefer to douse a towel with a bottle of rubbing alcohol. I them proceed to swing it over my head, beating the books.

Comfy

What's the dog's race ? (on the couch)
Amazing room btw

This is Professor Richard Macksey's house in Baltimore. It isn't really a personal library as most of the books belong to JHU. We used to have classes in here when he was healthier.

>Nigga you gay.

>antidecadent

daily reminder that your bedroom shouldn’t have so many books as it leads to dust and allergens which disrupts sleepgains

Based and redpilled. I remember the time that I lived in a room with literally no furniture and I slept on a sofa bed on the floor that wasn't even a real bed. The room was completely empty. It was the comfiest thing ever, even comfier than now. There was so much space and room when there was no furniture and it was aesthetically pleasing. It felt even better than now that I have a ton of furniture.

I still wish I hadn't given away all of my books though. That was foolish of me.

Attached: 023.png (680x680, 221K)

Based, I miss the minimalist aesthetics.

i can smell the white paint and must from here.

>shitty girl writing on the wall

Spoils the colour autism tbqh

>at any moment all your books might fall down and kill you

Truly living in the moment

Maximalism is more comfy though.

fucking lel

All this needs is a carpet floor and a chimney and it'd be extremely comfy

Attached: 1531614208248-b.jpg (3170x1440, 1.22M)

Not enough books.

carpeted floors are disgusting. all that dust. all those crumbs. all those foot germs rubbed into the threads.

Anyone /wg/ here?

Here's another pic for others. This stretch is Scottish, to general fiction, to literary criticism, to history.
