Yeah fuck you Brandon. Fuck you for not selling away your heart and soul to a shekel grubbing corporation but don't forget to give me money and support my shitty project I came up with in one afternoon after drunkenly playing Cuphead after a hard day's work of sexually harassing female coworkers.

Well that and many have egos the size of the sun. I have seen people in the industry legit say this at speaking events for students lol

God saved many souls for making me cripplingly bad at drawing and animation because I, among many "animation hopefuls" in this day and age, have ego problems and are basically divas.

I wouldn't consider this person as being "in animation"

I mean, he's not wrong.

His ideas still suck though.

You have to be at least a little retarded to pursue animation as a career.

Based Brandon, hope he's doing alright

>woke cartoon
>caring about money
Both people here are retarded, but the OP moreso.

I also want(ed) to work at animation but suck at drawing. The best I can be is an ideas guy.

Imagine treating one of the few people that actually like your work like this. For being so wildly untalented Kyle really has an inflated sense of self worth. What else has he even done aside from magishit?

As an animator, can't say I disagree. I sort of regret the decision to become one.

Are you the guy he made fun of? Did you make this thread? You've gotta be really thin skinned to see this as any sort of insult or attack worthy of giving a shit about. Then again we are in 2022 and zoomers go into full on schizo-tier meltdowns if you call them the wrong pronoun so who knows.

Not an insult or an attack but he sounded very passive-aggresive. Like some woman in her period.

Hi Kyle.
You were clearly trying to imply that Brandon wastes his time on nothing because it (in your opinion) isn't profitable enough. Like making graphic novels is some shitty job, not "worthy" of you, not on your level. Enjoy being the one to get both broke and unfulfilled creatively.

>schizo tier meltdown as a reply
Like clockwork.

Have you even seen this dumb fucking retard's work? Half his ideas are shit like "SQUEAKY THE SHAPE" that nobody in their right mind would buy. He got lucky with Magiswords and has nothing else left.

Absolutely. Spoiled, egotistical bastards foil themselves more than any corporation.

Literally who

Shit you tell me

>tfw my name is Brandon.
Man, I never saw any other Brandons growing up, now every time one pops up it weirds me out.

did you even read the doc you linked to, this is clearly a different person

moobeard would have been the better show. magiswords sucked.

>Half his ideas are shit like "SQUEAKY THE SHAPE" that nobody in their right mind would buy.
kek

I was answering the OP question Industycuck is the embodiment of "Are animation people their own worst enemies?"

They were really banking on that weird collectible phone qr gimmick.
But everything felt rushed, literally, it felt like every episode was being played in fast forward.

>Alright guys, SQUEAKY THE SHAPE AND LADY IRREGULAR QUADRILATERAL!
>What kind of s-..shape he's gonna get up too?!

didn't he literally post exactly this?

I would say Carozza is wrong. Doing a YA novel would be working for nothing but that's if he is going independent making his own book. If he got a job doing the art for someone else's book he would be paid immediately. He is going to have to really convince a publisher to pay him in advance to make a YA book of his own design.

Right now he's sitting on his thumbs hoping to get a job from someone to make his cartoon. I dont think that's going to happen because the market is shrinking like a dick in cold water.

He is completely fucked for the next 5+ years anyway since nobody wants original shows currently.

i can't believe people aren't clamoring for ground keith.

Oh Kyle Carroza. He's a total faggot.

Yeah, people have to remember that twitter is a publicly viewed space. Even if you have that kind of relationship with someone so as to be a bit of an ass you have to remember tweets are like saying it in front of a crowd.

QRD on him?
I fondly remember Magiswords being kinda shit.

All of this dude's ideas are just "DOOD WHAT IF FOOD COULD TALK"

There isn't even enough substance for that shit to carry a graphic novel and I don't get how he thinks those ideas are good enough to look down on that medium.

spastic weirdo who looks like smells bad who is the master at making the most flimsy/lazy and retarded cartoon pitches imaginable. hates john k iirc despite aping his style his entire career.

iirc he wanted Magiswords to be more grounded but CN only greenlit it once it got overpolished and turned into a goofy wacky comedy where every sword spurts ketchup or some shit.

Then again that kind of shit is the only sort of thing his original ideas like OP's pic are, either.

>iirc he wanted Magiswords to be more grounded
for some reason i really doubt that. but moobeard wasn't as adhd so maybe thats true.

I'd just like to point out that the guy who made Hilda used to work as an Adventure Time storyboarder. Instead of selling the rights to his work, he got it published as something he's got more ownership of, licensed out an adaptation, and basically got the best of both worlds AND he owns his IP AND he's got final creative rights on the source material AND he's got the money from both the licensing deal and the book/merch sales.

There's a fucking good reason the manga adaptation system exists. The people who made Invincible the comic made BANK from the adaptation AND they keep the creative rights. Objectively speaking Kyle's in the wrong and actively shooting himself in the foot, he's constantly begging these companies that're going through financial contraction and shrinking budgets to just give him a bunch of money for his untested ideas. He's in the worst possible bargaining position. He's so wrong its unreal.

>Your idea would be a giant waste of time, I am disregarding it entirely without thanking you for your consideration to try and help me.

That's an insult, Kyle. If someone talks away thinking why they should have bothered talking to you then they have been insulted.

As opposed to toiling away for DECADES on hundreds of pitch bibles that go fucking nowhere?

Wanna know why something as boring as Nimona gets picked up for a feature film, Kyle? Because adapting a comic with a pre-existing fanbase is far preferable to a generic bible where each one looks like you're using a template to generate them.

>Graphic novels
>Zero money
Do this faggot not know that schoolastic graphic novels are selling like hot cakes now?

The idea had been in development for literal years and several different stages before getting greenlit; there was some image showing all of the different character designs from each stage and it gradually got goofier and goofier with each new attempt.

It does kind of suck that animation studios are more likely to adapt your stuff if its a pre existing IP you built (like a youtube thing, comics, even movies have been doing this with kids books since forever, most of dreamworks' movies are just kids book adaptations) but the actual market for the stuff that'd get adapted is really niche.

You're either going to write a little kids book for scholastic, do some normie bait on youtube, or hope to god your comic you pitched gets far enough ahead that someone'll pay for the adaptation rights (there's a bad glut of comics that're clearly trying to bait for hollywood script auctions and just come off as bad pitches first, comics second). All of those have their own risks and are niche hard to break in markets in and of themselves.

Further if he went YA he wouldn't even need a company as he could just self-publish through Amazon. I've done it, it has an app that auto formats and there is an app for generating book covers and auto assigns barcodes. It takes like 4.39 for a 200 page book to be printed for you to sell on your own. It's really quite easy if you dont mind doing the work yourself.

I wanna fuck Lady Irregular Quadrilateral until she's Regular.

who would buy this

Isn't this just that one Banana Tree waifu form that one Music Video?

If his eyes were on the prize, why hasn't he accomplished what he set out to do?

I made a webcomic in 2010 and won awards for my hard work. I even make money for it. This makes me more successful than fucking Kyle and my shit was done in MSPaint.

Support you local MSPaint artist and if Kyle ever greets ya, slap him upside the head for me.

Hussie I...

>hates john k iirc despite aping his style his entire career.
I mean who doesn’t?

That's what happen if you live long enough at California

Some cheap Indian youtube channel that wants an easy property to exploit the toddlers who watch cuphead-style videos.

That's literally the best you could hope for with this shit.

He comes across as a dick in his comment, but his art is good. And to be fair, Brandon himself was being a dick.

Your comic literally ruined an entire fucking generation, Andrew.

This is already a better pitch than at least half the shit airing at the moment.

>on hundreds of pitch bibles that go fucking nowhere?

Funny for you to assume he has a bible for any of these.

Kyle is a fucking idiot. All of his ideas aren't shows. They are just characters shoved together. No theme, no thesis, no plot. It just screams half-ass.

Yeah I'd watch it

Attached: 4dugsia8zns11.jpg (1600x1200, 314.5K)

It always seems Kyle has an idea for characters moreso than a show. What do these characters do within their show? It's one thing to come up with a pun, it's another to write something based on that pun.
