Stop being a faggot and bumping when no one wants to talk about your shit. Do what Gass recommends in the intro and read a section or so per day. You’ll choke if you try to swallow it all. This is a book best sampled, not chomped.

Not OP, how long are the samples?

A handful of pages each. I don't think any of them are longer than about 10.

Changed my life for the better, I reread it every year

Tism of the most exquisite grade.

How?

Helped me cope with my depression and gave me a new appreciation of literature, also fired me up to read the works of classical antiquity

which classical works have you read desu

What is the point of reading greek and latin fiction works if the greatness is lost in translation.

I still got a ton out of reading them in translation, but I also agree you lose some and that’s why I learned (and continue to study) Latin and why I want to study Greek as well.
Basically everything major up until the early church fathers. Some of my favorites (that aren’t obvious choices like Homer and Plato) are Cicero, Plutarch, Seneca (his plays), Epictetus, Tacitus, Arrian, Tertullian, and Plotinus. Virgil in the original is also amazing.
