I read it over Easter and I just couldn't put it down in my second sitting. Not the absolute deepest thing ever but interesting and incredibly fun.

Ok, so there's a couple of possibilities;
1. You're trolling
2. You're underage
3. You're new(at least to this board)
If 1, you're a faggot. If 2, you need to leave; this site is intended for people who are 18 years or older. If 3, lurk more.

Definitely check out Moore's Promethea and run of Miracle Man. Shit, From Hell, too.

Watchmen is the Moby Dick of comics. There's really nothing like it. Comics peaked with Watchmen.

Jimmy Corrigan is the only graphic novel ever written that is deserving of the name.

I would if there was a decent english translation, the one they did apparently fucked with the paneling composition and cropped artwork.

muh maus

That thumbnail reminds me of the smug monkey with the bright red boner

>Watchmen

Obscure Cities is great.

"Graphic novel" is a gay, pretentious term invented by advertisers.

It's great but it's not the only comic with literary merit.

a lot of comics from DC's vertigo are all pretty good, namely swamp thing

...

Yea Forums here

Watchmen, Swamp Thing, Miracleman are all good books by Alan Moore and are probably the pinnacle of capeshit

Personal preference for Hellboy though

Is Blankets worth a read?

I’ve wanted to for a while, which one should I start with

Ballad of the Salt Sea is the first one. One of the longest, most 'concrete', and possibly most well known among both normies and aficionados. It represent earlier Pratt, combination of mystery and adventure, romanticism + modernism. For more oniric, postmodern, Borghesian... read Celts and The Secret Rose.

My fav is Siberia and Youth.

The Watchmen is only a good experience if you read the written words between the different individual comics in the series.

The whole thing is great. :3

>how Yea Forums are picture books

Only comics I own are 3 volumes of "Complete Crepax" a friend of mine gave my last year as a present.
Haven't even opened them lmao.
