I used to love Blade Runner until I read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Now it just makes me angry. Try that one first then move on to Voices from the Street to see if you have a taste for it. If you get a taste for it then there are plenty of PKD threads here to guide you. You might also try Alan Harrington. Start with Life in the Crystal Palace to get a feel for him. Revelations of Dr. Modesto seems a little trite in hindsight because the punchline has been so over used by now. It was pretty original for the time.
